Sr AWS Cloud Engineer (AWS+Terraform)-PSDE III

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud & DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure management. This role focuses on designing and deploying highly available AWS environments, building automation frameworks, and supporting customers with best-in-class cloud solutions.Candidate must have strong Terraform hands on experience along with automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate deployments utilizing custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS. 
• Architect AWS environment best practices and deployment methodologies.
• Create automation tools and processes to improve day to day functions.
• Educate customers on AWS and Rackspace best practices and architecture.
• Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment for the enterprise Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization related tasks.
• Mentor and assist Rackers across the Cloud Function.
• Quality check development of technical training for all Rackers supporting Rackspace Supported CLOUD Products.
• Provide technical expertise underpinning communications targeting a range of stakeholders - from individual contributors to leaders across the business.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants to build strong customer relationships.

Technical Expertise

• Experienced in solutioning and implementation of Green field projects leveraging IaaS, PaaS for Primary site and DR.
• Near expert knowledge of AWS Products & Services, Compute, Storage, Security, networking, etc. 
• Proficient skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Linux, Shell scripting.
• Proficient skills with git and git workflows.
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems – experience of supporting and troubleshooting issues and performance.
• Highly skilled in Terraform/IaC, including CI/CD practices.
• Working knowledge in Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing, building, implementing, analysing, Migrating and troubleshooting highly available systems.
• Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or any other such tools.
• Understanding of services and protocols, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of hosting environments, including web servers, databases, caching, and database services.
• Knowledge in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols.
