Senior Strategy and Transformation Manager

Rackspace is on a transformation journey from its 25+ year hosting origins to an end-to-end public and private cloud services provider. This role accelerates this transformation by leading rapid change of companywide processes and systems to deliver ambitious growth goals. A Senior Transformation Manager keeps Rackspace at the forefront of the latest strategic changes in the rapidly changing cloud industry. They will lead business transformation initiatives and integration work-streams from strategy design through execution.  Managing cross-functional projects to drive improvement in process metrics, to exceed financial targets, and to achieve company strategic goals.  They will partner with leadership and external consultants to accelerate transformation.  

Key Responsibilities

• Overall Responsibility 
• Leads large projects or components of programs from strategic analysis through execution by driving completion against set goals, objectives, and outcomes. 
• Strategic Analysis 
• Gathers required data and critical insights from other employees and partners to evaluate objectives, to set goals, and to scope and define deliverables. 
• Uses specialized expertise in one or more areas to interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices. 
• Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. 
• Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.

• Project Planning and Stakeholder Buy-In 
• Establishes program goals and objectives ensuring alignment with the Rackspace strategic plan. 
• Decisions impact the achievement of customer, operational, program or service objectives. 
• Keeps leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.   
• Project Execution
• Manages cross-functional projects to drive best practice improvement in process metrics, targeted financial benefits, and achieve company goals. 
• Contributions often result in business or process improvements. Identifies and resolves unique situations of substantial significance in field of expertise or knowledge. 
• Ensures that all targets and requirements are met and completed on schedule and within budget. 
• Actions are guided by policies, resource requirements, budgets and the area business plan. 

Knowledge

• Cloud infrastructure and/or enterprise software industry: 
• Knowledge of Rackspace’s objectives and strategies.  
• Uses skills as a seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues. 
• Knowledge of emerging trends and industry practices. 
• Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Typically requires 12 or more years of experience in a combination of strategic consulting and operational experience plus program management or project management with at least 5 years working on projects at a company impacting level.
