Responsibilities:
- Own the test process of Hardware In the Loop (HIL) level, including commissioning, test plan and automation for Body/Powertrain ECUs
- Support Hardware in Loop test teams with various verification activities
- Jointly own approval of test software, test procedures and test cases with product and controls/design engineers and perform test setup / software validation testing during the off-hours maintenance windows
- Mentor test teams on technical topics
- Lead the test process to implement test standards, best practices and workflows as required
- Define, Plan, Review and Coordinate Diagnostics testing activities for EOL and Service
- Collaborate with Controls teams, System Engineers, Diagnostics team, Service team and various test teams to plan test activities
- Report and Escalate issues as appropriate and participate in Triaging of Issues with various teams
- Help with test scalability for new and upcoming products
- Define hiring plan and budget requirements for the teams
- Participate in the design of a world-class engineering effort to bring electric vehicles to a new level of refinement
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (Master of Science preferred), in the area of Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Computer Science, or other related field.
- 7+ years of experience in ECU functional and Diagnostics testing
- 2+ years of experience managing an automotive test team
- Experienced setting up dSPACE HiL framework and the associated tools/interface methods (e.g., ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk etc.) a plus
- Experienced with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, CANoe DiVa or similar tools to test Diagnostics
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN, UDS, and related tools to measure and command signals, though scripting or otherwise
