Day to day you will:
- Lead and deliver internal audit engagements, ensuring quality and insight at every stage.
- Manage risk and assurance projects across multiple sectors, from scoping to reporting.
- Analyse processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.
- Provide practical recommendations that enhance governance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical experts to design fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
What you'll bring to our team:
- Knowledge of financial processes and finance functions.
- Experience in internal audit and/or project auditing or transformation activities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft financial management systems (e.g., Business Central).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A track record of coaching and developing others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Professional services experience and knowledge of the Canterbury market (a plus!).
