The Manager of Executive Communications plays a key role in elevating the communication efforts of our executives. This role is responsible for developing and executing impactful communication strategies for our top leaders and ensuring their messages are effectively delivered to internal and external audiences. Exceptional PowerPoint skills and storytelling expertise in messaging, events management, production, and directing are critical in creating compelling presentations and managing high-profile events that reflect the vision and values of Rackspace Technology.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our C-suite executives to understand their communication needs, priorities, and key messages.
- Develop and execute comprehensive executive communication strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance the executive's presence and influence.
- Utilize your expert PowerPoint skills to create visually engaging, persuasive, and data-driven presentations for executive use in various settings, including conferences, board meetings, and internal Open Book events (companywide town halls).
- Ensure presentations are designed to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner, capturing the executive's voice and style.
- Working with our events team, take the lead in planning and executing high-profile event content for conferences, trade shows, seminars, customer engagement events and executive retreats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling content for executive speeches, articles, blog posts, and other written communications.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, executive teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and consistent messaging across all communications.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of executive communications initiatives, gathering insights to continually improve communication strategies and engagement.
Knowledge
- Excellent communications skills through all media to synthesize complex subjects into key compelling narratives and messages.
- Extensive experience in events content management, production, and directing, preferably overseeing content for corporate events.
- Understands the executives’ function and business strategy.
- Strategic thinking skills across multiple communication disciplines.
- Ability to partner across mix of constituents and organizations.
- Good understanding of the IT industry.
- Ability to advise/work directly with executives.
Skills
- Exceptional proficiency in PowerPoint and Keynote with a keen eye for design, layout, and data visualization.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop creative solutions to complex communication challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling messages and stories.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and stakeholders, exercising a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and organized approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deadlines effectively.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 8-11 years of experience in executive communications, with a proven track record of supporting C-suite executives in a tech industry environment.
