Role Overview As a Software Developer - Senior Python Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to build world-class web applications and platform services that provide Gen AI application development and collaboration tools for Rackspace India.  This role will be part of a team that has a strong, passionate engineering culture and proven track record of writing high quality software by using the best engineering practices in the industry. You will have the opportunity to work on highly distributed, extreme capacity systems that use a variety services and processes. We are looking for hands-on expertise in python programming, as well as proven experience in Gen AI and AWS/Azure platform knowledge, including design and end to end development, etc.Primary Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable Python GenAI applications to meet project requirements.Design and develop software for large-scale enterprise services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and DevOps, to define project specifications and deliverables.Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.Translate functional requirements into conceptual and detailed designs; provide estimates for development effort.Create unit and acceptance tests; perform QA/Test; automate deployment; and assist Operations and Support staff in troubleshooting software issues, as well as implementing bug fixes.Adhere to coding and process best practices.Desired Skills and Experience:Proven experience (5+ years) in Software Development with Python, Generative AI and cloud platform like Aws and Azure.Frontend React js experience will be an add on. WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE &amp; QUALIFICATIONS)  
<ul>
<li>At least 2 years of professional development experience with C++ and Python.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Windows OS architecture, including user-space applications and core system functionality.</li>
<li>Familiarity with how applications interact with operating systems and the ability to develop system-level software.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with SQLite.</li>
<li>Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.</li>
<li>Knowledge of software engineering principles, including algorithms, data structures, multithreading, multiprocessing, web services, and REST APIs.</li>
<li>Experience with build and deployment technologies and CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).</li>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Familiarity with secure software development standards and practices (e.g., OWASP SAMM, NIST 800-64, ISO/IEC 27034) is a plus.</li>
<li>Security research experience and the ability to participate in security-driven development are an advantage.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.</li>

WHAT YOU'LL DO
