Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and architects to thoroughly understand business and technical requirements, translating them into comprehensive test strategies. 
• Lead the development of automated test scripts, ensuring scalability and reliability across multiple features and systems. 
• Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks that streamline testing processes and enhance test coverage. 
• Integrate automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous quality validation throughout the development lifecycle. 
• Work closely with manual QA engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation, transitioning them into efficient automated workflows. 
• Mentor and train manual testers in automation tools, guiding them on how to write, execute, and maintain automated tests, promoting a shift towards automation-focused testing. 
• Collect and analyze detailed data for bug investigation, providing actionable insights to facilitate root cause analysis and resolutions. 
• Drive the investigation and resolution of customer-reported issues by performing in-depth analysis and leading discussions with R&D teams. 
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in testing methodologies and automation practices within the team.

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipeline integration. 
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for complex systems and features. 
• Hands-on experience with building and optimizing automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestCafe, Playwright, Cypress, PyTest). 
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript with the ability to write and maintain test automation scripts. 
• Solid understanding of API testing, performance testing, and load testing. 
• Strong experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) to integrate automated testing into the software delivery pipeline. 
• Experience in mentoring and training manual QA engineers on automation tools and practices. 
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and QA processes. 
• Previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product managers, developers, architects) to deliver high-quality products.
