Senior AWS Migration Engineer About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Migration Engineer to lead and execute end-to-end cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, networking, and cloud architecture. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement end-to-end AWS migration strategiesLead complex migration projects from planning to executionOptimize existing infrastructure for cloud environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitionsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team membersImplement and manage secure, scalable network architectures in AWSExecute data migration tasks using various AWS and third-party tools Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of experience in cloud migrations, with a focus on AWSDeep knowledge of AWS migration services and tools, including:* AWS Migration Hub* AWS Application Migration Service* AWS Server Migration Service* AWS DataSync* AWS Transfer FamilyStrong understanding of networking concepts and implementations in AWS, including:* VPN and AWS Direct Connect* VPC peering and AWS Transit Gateway* Network Address Translation (NAT)* Route tables and subnets* Security Groups and Network Access Control Lists (NACLs)Expertise in a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to: * Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS* Storage: S3, EBS, EFS, AWS FSx (including FSx for NetApp ONTAP)* Database: RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora* Networking: VPC, Route 53, CloudFront* Security: IAM, AWS WAF, AWS Shield* Management: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS ConfigExperience with AWS Dedicated Hosts and EC2 Dedicated InstancesProficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShellExperience with Windows and Linux operating systemsFamiliarity with data migration tools and techniques, including:* Robocopy for Windows environments* rsync for Linux environments* AWS DataSync for automated data transferKnowledge of NetApp ONTAP systems and experience migrating to AWS FSx for NetApp ONTAPExcellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with database migration techniques and tools (e.g., AWS Database Migration Service)Understanding of security best practices in cloud environmentsExperience with hybrid cloud architecturesKnowledge of AWS Snow Family devices for large-scale data migrationsFamiliarity with AWS Organizations and multi-account strategies
