THE TEAM
The InfoSec team is led by our CISO and comprises of four pillars; Information Security Officers, Offensive Security, Defensive Engineering and Security Operations.
The Security Operations team is newly formed and empowered to deliver our detection and response capability for threat management, to continually protect our customers, platform and business.
THE ROLE
We are expanding the Security Operations team extensively, and this is an exciting role as part of an advanced detection and response team.  You will have the opportunity to shape and develop engineering-centric approaches and solutions to security problems.  We don't believe the 'traditional SOC' model continues to be effective and efficient, and our vision challenges this with autonomic security operations, to improve our ability to withstand security attacks.
As a SecOps Engineer you will own end-to-end threat management within your purview of expertise, to include these core responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Identify and maintain awareness of timely and appropriate threat intelligence (supported by Threat Intel Analyst)</li>
<li>Plan and co-ordinate data source collection</li>
<li>Prioritise detection engineering</li>
<li>Develop new and existing supportive orchestration and automation actions</li>
<li>Analyse event data to triage severity and priority (supported by our software, platform and IT engineering teams as necessary)</li>
<li>Conduct technical investigations and response to threats (supported by Security IR Manager).</li>

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A background in Security Operations, SOC Analyst, Security Engineer or SRE with experience in one or more of the core SOC function areas and a strong aptitude own and work across them all.
Your specialism
Knowledge inside-out of one (or more) of the following technology domains:

Senior Cloud Security Engineer

THE TEAM

The infosec office creates and implements policies and procedures that ensure our platform’s security is always being maintained, allowing our customers to continue to make faster, secure payments. This team offers you the ability to work with some of the largest financial companies globally but also refine and enhance your skill set and knowledge across the vast financial security sector. 
THE ROLE
This is a challenging, exciting, varied and broad role. Some key duties include:
<ul>
<li>Maintaining and developing policies and procedures, consulting with project engineering teams on security principles.</li>
<li>Responding to customer audit requirements (Tier 1 Banks to Start-Ups)</li>
<li>Performing internal audits and assisting with external audits.</li>
<li>You’ll also be involved in security assurance of software and vendors, investigating escalated alerts from the SIEM.</li>
<li>Coordination of pentests (internal and external) and vulnerability remediation from findings</li>
<li>Managing and implementing security tools such as DLP and IPS</li>

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
ESSENTIAL
<ul>
<li>Working knowledge of security frameworks and security controls e.g. NIST CSF, ISO22301, IS027001, ISAE3000/SOC2, GDPR and PCI DSS. (US: + FedRamp, Nacha, Data Protection Laws and Regulation, CCPA etc)</li>

<li>Ability to create, deliver and enhance security of cloud-native distributed systems (we use AWS and GCP at present with Terraform as our Iac tool), following the best practices and implementing security controls post assessment. We are also looking to become cloud-agnostic meaning there will be opportunity for you to showcase your abilities across other cloud platforms.</li>
<li>Strong programming skills, we are flexible on languages, we use Go as our main language for production so a willingness or interest to learn Go is fundamental. In security we write our own scripts for automation in Python, Go and other languages while contributing to open-source tools so we can utilise them.</li>
<li>Familiarity with containerisation and microservices architecture security concepts is also crucial to being successful in this role.</li>
<li>Willingness to be part of the on-call rota.</li>
</ul>

DESIRABLES AND YOUR SPECIALISMS
SDLC Based:
<ul>
<li>3+ Years of expertise in Kubernetes, securing clusters and meshes (Cilium is preferable), networking best practices and RBAC implementation (CKA, CKS qualifications are a plus)</li>
<li>Experience in hardening Linux OSs</li>
<li>+3 Years of container security knowledge including container image provenance (Sigstore and Notary as examples) with an in-depth knowledge of container runtimes/ Docker and the security controls and best practice that surround microservice architectures</li>
<li>Involvement in DevSecOps operations within Agile environments on to CI/CD pipelines (Travis CI and Flux are our tools) with the ability to choose the right tool to fit purpose</li>
<li>Hands on work within agile DevOps environments that follow the DevSecOps best practices, where you expressed the ability to choose the right tool to fit purpose</li>
<li>CI/CD pipeline (Travis CI and Flux are our tools) security management</li>
</ul>

Wider Security:
<ul>
<li>Hands on experience taking your company through any of the following ISO27001, ISAE3000, SOC2/1, GDPR, PCI-DSS</li>
<li>Previous experience in developing security road maps and architectures alongside Security Architects in cloud-native or hybrid-infrastructures including network security (AWS solutions architect or GCP professional cloud architect are a plus)</li>
<li>Previous experience in network security, preferably in hybrid infrastructure based environments, you will have managed, switches, network segmentation, ports and firewalls across the entire OSI model.</li>
</ul>

Personal Interests:
<ul>
<li>Keen interest in new and emerging threats, vulnerabilities and adversary advancements coupled with the ability to present these to the wider team</li>
<li>Active contributor to open-source projects and passion for developing internal tools (our engineers were some of the main contributors for TFSec)</li>
<li>Additional Qualifications (nice to have but not necessary): OSCP, CASE, CCSP, AWS Security Specialist or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer</li>
