Riverside Research is seeking a senior dynamic, strategic, operational, and growth focused senior research scientist to support research and development of cutting-edge open-source operating system security technologies. As a key member of our Secure and Resilient Systems team, the senior research scientist will pursue and grow opportunities with government research organizations (e.g. DARPA, IARPA, service labs, etc.), lead existing R&amp;D contracts, and transition technology into our other business units. The senior research scientist will interface with team members across Riverside Research locations.
The senior research scientist will contribute to a diverse team responsible for developing protection schemas in operating system design. They will also contribute to technical marketing and proposal writing in their research area. The senior research scientist should have hands on experience in some of the following domains: virtualization &amp; operating system internals, security software engineering, and kernel messaging systems.

Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Build tools and/or capabilities in languages like C/C++, Python, Java, etc.</li>
<li>Contribute to whitepapers and/or published papers that document innovative work preformed</li>
<li>Influence technical direction of IR&amp;D or on-contract research and development efforts</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members on debugging programs, reviewing papers/proposals, etc. </li>
<li>Participate in relevant internal and customer meetings</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>MS degree, preferred in related technical field, or BS with 5+ years’ experience in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or cybersecurity field</li>
<li>Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.</li>
<li>Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans</li>
<li>Proficiency in programming languages C/C++, Python, and Assembly (x86-64, ARM)</li>
</ul>

<li>PhD degree in Computer Science or related field</li>
<li>Healthy balance between technical orientation and business acumen</li>

Riverside Research’s Secure and Resilient Systems research group is forming a team of highly motivated summer interns who love to learn, experiment, and solve highly challenging problems in the area of cybersecurity. If you are not afraid to fail often, do not give up easily, and enjoy being challenged intellectually and technically, this is the place for you as we are solving cutting-edge research problems to which the solution does not already exist. For candidates working on BS, MS, or PhD degrees you will team up with researchers from our team to work on impactful security and privacy research problems.  Position can be in Beavercreek, OH or Lexington, MA.

As the FSO for our Lexington, MA office, you will take the reins of the security program and be responsible for all security matters in a successful, ever-growing company. Your job bridges strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution while you work alongside other professionals to deliver superior security services, anticipate and proactively plan for future mission needs.

Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Join an effective security team; team locally with ISSM, ISSO and Office Manager to maintain daily operations of the facility. Team with highly effective security and administrative personnel located at other cleared facilities throughout the U.S.</li>
<li>Perform as a security officer responsible for maintaining security accreditations and approvals necessary to keep the facility operational to meet mission requirements</li>
<li>Initiate background investigation requests (including fingerprinting) using e-QIP via DISS</li>
<li>Maintain Facility Clearance using NISS</li>
<li>Submit and obtain Government SCI and program access approvals for employees</li>
<li>Understand contracts, SOW's (statement of work), DD254's and task orders to determine security requirements</li>
<li>Provide day-to-day administration and oversight of classified activities, develop local policy, perform self-inspections, and maintain continuous control over all media</li>
<li>Interface professionally with company leadership, Government oversight agencies, customers, and visitors</li>
<li>Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254's, security guidance, and classified holdings</li>
<li>Develop and revise security plans, procedures, instructions and educational material</li>
<li>Provide classification guidance to program personnel, conduct security briefings, participate in self-inspections and audits, and investigate security incidents</li>
<li>Provide other security services including Personnel Security, Physical Security, Communications Security (COMSEC), Document Control and Visitor Control</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential</li>
<li>8 years of Facility Security Officer experience in government and/or industrial security</li>
<li>Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency FSO certification (NISPOM with possessing curriculum within one year of hiring)</li>
<li>HS diploma</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of the design and execution of security programs in according with 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)</li>
<li>Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions</li>
<li>High degree of professionalism and attention to detail</li>
<li>Must be able to maintain all required security clearances</li>
