Job Responsibilities:

<li>Create and maintain A&amp;A packages, System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), Security Controls Traceability Matrices (SCTMs) and Plans of Action &amp; Milestones (POA&amp;Ms) for all classified systems</li>
<li>Establish and administer appropriate security systems, policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with applicable government and corporate directives, guidelines, and contractual obligations</li>
<li>Conduct analysis and assessment of the security control assessment guidance, procedures, and templates, ensuring correct and uniform implementation of the new RMF based assessment processes</li>
<li>Configure and validate information system compliance using DISA STIGs, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and STIG Viewer</li>
<li>Conduct regular audits/CM in accordance with government customer requirements</li>
<li>Provide technical and professional leadership to support personnel, provide oversight for all classified system compliance and conduct self-assessments at multiple Riverside Research offices</li>
<li>Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware and firmware</li>
<li>Develop, implement and deliver applicable Information Security training to all employees in accordance with NISPOM Chapter 8, cyber threat intelligence data and current cybersecurity trends</li>
<li>Investigate information system security violations and prepare reports with corrective actions and preventative measures. Makes recommendations regarding tools, trend analysis and applicable network countermeasures</li>
<li>Develops and maintains applicable Information Security policies and directives</li>
<li>Provides support to the Director of Security with the implementation of the Insider Threat Program and other applicable policies as necessary</li>
<li>Interfaces directly with DCSA or other DoD entities to conduct Information System security inspections, tests, and reviews</li>
<li>Guarantee system security requirements are addressed during all phases of system life cycle</li>
<li>Ensures system security assessments and audits are completed and documented</li>
<li>Certify that all Information System authorization documentation is current and accessible to authorized individuals</li>
<li>Supervisor/mentor Information System Security Officers.</li>

Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility</li>
<li>Education and Experience (preferably as an ISSO/ISSM/IAM):

<li>Master’s degree with five (5) years' relevant experience, or</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree with seven (7) years' relevant experience, or</li>
<li>without a degree, ten (10) years of information assurance experience</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Experience with NIST 800-53 and Risk Management Framework (RMF) based accreditations</li>
<li>Experience to include working in a classified environment consisting of Collateral, SCI and/or SAP</li>
<li>Experience with handling /managing COMSEC assets and inventory process</li>
<li>Knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows, Linux)</li>
<li>Experience developing standard operating procedures and system security plans</li>
<li>Certification Requirements: Current DoD 8570.1-M IAM Level 1 certification required.</li>

As a key member of Riverside Research, the Cybersecurity Engineer will work closely with the Government customer to integrate cybersecurity and anti-tamper solutions.
The chosen candidate will serve as a Jr. technical member of a team consisting of software engineers, data architects, cybersecurity engineers and researchers to develop and demonstrate the technical feasibility of promising Open Architecture (OA) solutions involving integrated cybersecurity and anti-tamper approaches in a representative application. The engineer will survey and monitor progress of current and emerging open architecture standards to address cybersecurity, cyber resiliency, cyber survivability, and anti-tamper and identify opportunities for applicability to current and future mission systems.

Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Develop cybersecurity tools for DoD Open Architecture systems and contribute to relevant OA standards</li>
<li>Build tools and/or capabilities in languages like C/C++, Python, Java, etc.</li>
<li>Contribute to whitepapers and/or published papers that document innovative work performed</li>
<li>Influence technical direction of IR&amp;D or on-contract research and development efforts</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members on debugging programs, reviewing papers/proposals, etc.</li>
<li>Participate in relevant internal and customer meetings</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance</li>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or cybersecurity field.</li>
<li>2+ years’ related experience.</li>
<li>Proficiency in programming languages C/C++, Python, and Assembly (x86-64, ARM)</li>
</ul>
Desired Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field</li>
<li>Prior experience with DoD OAs</li>
<li>Prior OA cybersecurity experience</li>
<li>Self-starter and ability to manage time independently without direct supervision</li>
<li>Superior written and verbal communications skills</li>
<li>Experience with both defensive and offensive cyber tools</li>
