Roles and Responsibilities:• Perform code reviews • Run client SAST/DAST/SCA tools, review outputs and provide recommendations • Implement integrations for tools into pipelines, ticketing systems, etc. • Perform manual based assessments or application-focused pen testing
Required Experience:• 3-5 years experience working in Application Security• Deep knowledge of manual testing tools such as Burp Suite Pro• Knowledge of and experience with SAST/DAST/SCA Application Security tools such as: Burp Suite, Netsparker, Veracode, Checkmarx, WhiteSource, etc. • Experience with the integration of tools into development pipelines • Understanding of a broad range of Application Security issues as well as their mitigation strategies • Understanding of Application Security related vulnerabilities • Experience with reviewing source code written in JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, PHP, or C# a plus • Written communication skills for written interactions with clients • Strong communication skills that include the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and distill complex problems into digestible pieces of information • Personal drive and passion to not only continue growing yourself but also the Application Security Engineering practice• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security preferred• Standard industry certifications are preferredWhy GuidePoint?GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, profitable, privately-held value added reseller that focuses exclusively on Information Security. Application Security Engineer - Southeast (Remote)

Your primary responsibilities revolve around partnering with our customers to advise, develop, implement, and optimize all components of the vulnerability management lifecycle.
Role and Responsibilities:• Execute and manage vulnerability scanning of internal, external, and cloud networks • Plan, design, and implement enterprise vulnerability scanning infrastructure in a hybrid or multi-cloud architecture • Develop automated tasks and processes • Perform container, container registry, and IaC scans • Advise customers on Vulnerability Management best practices • Perform Vulnerability Management gap assessments for customers • Provide guidance and collaborate with peers on the Vulnerability Management practice team • Establish credibility as a trusted advisor to our customers • Assist in the deployment and use of DAST tooling for dynamic application analysis
Required Experience:• 5+ years of information security experience • 3+ years of vulnerability engineering experience • Must have experience with Tenable products • Advanced practical skills in vulnerability assessment tooling such as Tenable, Rapid7, Qualys, Orca, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Aqua, Lacework, etc. • Experience with scripting tasks using native tools such as BASH, PowerShell, Python, or other native scripting languages. • Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Cloud Formation is a plus • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, Ci/CD, or serverless is a plus • An understanding of operating systems such as Windows Server, Windows 10/7, Mac OSX, RHEL, and Ubuntu Linux and the ability to perform advanced functions at the CLI • Ability to manage time independently while handling multiple projects concurrently • A working knowledge of Application Security and infrastructure-specific vulnerabilities • Strong written and verbal communication skills • A strong desire to learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-growing companyWhy GuidePoint?GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, profitable, privately-held value added reseller that focuses exclusively on Information Security. Application Security Analyst - Southeast (Remote)

Isn’t it weird how much good old centralised tech it takes to deliver <a href="https://www.parity.io/technologies/polkadot/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc" target="_blank">a new decentralised one</a>? CI runners in Kubernetes clusters, release repos in cloud storages, a whole bunch of sophisticated tooling interacting with 400+ Github repos and several dozen of bare metal servers for needs like benchmarking. And to make things even funnier, we’re a principled FOSS shop, so even some of our infrastructure and tooling repos are available to the public eye.
Now, we have an amazing Infrastructure Engineering team we couldn’t be happier with — not only do they manage to keep all that up with sometimes unreasonable uptimes, but also have enough capacity to stay up to date with our tech, practices and approaches.
But at a certain scale of engineering, keeping a holistic security picture in mind and acting on it becomes a full-time job. And this is where you’re coming in.
<h3>Key functions and responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Advising Infra Engineering on security topics and supervising their work (and infrastructure-as-a-code codebases) from the security standpoint — maintaining things practical using some form of a risk-based approach.</li>
<li>Organising and performing penetration testing of our infrastructure, and collaborating with external parties on those tests.</li>
<li>Picking tools, methods and approaches to maintain and improve the security stance of the company. (And we have a strong preference towards FOSS tooling when possible)</li>
<li>Writing company-wide security standards and guidelines, as well as tools to enforce those.</li>
<li>Partnering other team members on all matters related to security and infrastructure engineering.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Tech you’d be working with</h3>

<li>Linux and Linux-based tech stack (SSH, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS)</li>
<li>Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible</li>
<li>Gitlab, Gitlab CI, ArgoCD</li>

<li>Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, baremetal hostings</li>
<li>Prometheus, Grafana, Loki</li>
<li>And of course blockchain tech and associated tooling (wallets, keys, RPC nodes and indexers etc.)</li>
