Your purpose

Your purpose as Cloud Security Engineer will focus on implementing best practice to secure our AWS Cloud environment. You will work closely with our development teams and DevSecOps engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Your contribution will include:

•Designing the cloud environment from a holistic point of view, ensuring it meets AWS best practice security guidelines. •Working closely with the internal teams (Platform, SRE and Development) to implement a best-in-class secure platform. •Implement baseline and target models for cloud based Security monitoring. •Implementation of the AWS Security OU including centralised log acquisition and management. •Implementation and continuous improvement of selected AWS security tools including GuardDuty, Config and Security Hub to detect and track threats. •Implementation and management of best practice AWS secure network structures working alongside our Platform team. •Implementation of continuous vulnerability assessment and remediation using Inspector. •Help further grow a DevSecOps culture and embed Security into our Development process (automation and CI/CD). •Mature our cloud security and SAST/DAST offering. •Provide threat modelling support. •Automation of security configuration across the Cloud estate. •Working with internal stakeholders to remediate identified vulnerabilities •A key role in the Cyber Incident response team working to contain and remediate incidents. •A drive for excellence through continuous improvement using a risk-based approach

Your journey

Ideally your career journey to date will have given you experience in or exposure to the following:

•You will have deep skills/ technical knowledge of all aspects of the AWS Well-Architected Framework – Security Pillar and the AWS suite of security tools.

•Working in a multi-account AWS Cloud Security role in the software development industry •Kubernetes and Kafka application solutions •CloudFormation and/or Terraform Ansible and a DevOps mindset •Strong background in backend engineering (e.g., Java, Python, event-driven Microservices,...) •AWS Certified Security Specialist
