Role Description:
Cohesity’s distributed file system is uniquely positioned to address several data management needs for customers. We are seeing rapid adoption in terms of a number of customers and the size of deployments - within a single data center, across geographies and cloud. Our mission is to deploy, run and maintain the cluster with minimal configuration and dynamically heal the cluster with zero manual intervention. The ideal candidate is passionate about security and help with certification and compliance needs to meet the federal requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Serve as an authority on various special security-related projects and initiatives.</li>
<li>Lead the planning, design, documentation, and engineering of security solutions across the enterprise.</li>
<li>Promote acceptance of security technologies within the organization, balancing business goals, security controls, and customer usability.</li>
<li>Perform root-cause analysis on Information Security related incidents and updates procedures or other controls to stop/mitigate future incidents as well as determined and implement improvements to improve security in the future.</li>
<li>Solve complex security related problems and take a broad perspective to identify strategic solutions.</li>
<li>Promote security awareness and provide training/communications to internal end users.</li>
<li>The selected candidate will work on Compliance and Certification needed for enterprise customers like Common Criteria (EAL, Protection Profile), FIPS 140-2.</li>
<li>Participate in the architecture and design of features.</li>
<li>Lead the software team to implement proper authentication and authorization for key product features. </li>
<li>Participate and implement features that require strong cryptographic technology understanding. </li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in a technical security subject area.</li>
<li>Development experience with one or more programming languages like C, C++, GoLang, Java development environments</li>
<li>Proven understanding of computer security principles and standard methodologies.</li>
<li>Knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.</li>
<li>Familiarity with common Information Security frameworks and standards and compliance and regulations such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST, PCI DSS, HITRUST, HIPAA, HITECH.</li>
<li>Must have understanding of Unix (Centos).</li>
<li>Experience with Information Security Policy and Procedure development and implementation.</li>
<li>Understanding of risk management principles and methodologies</li>
<li>Knowledge of common security-related protocols and their design (i.e. SSH, IPsec, TLS, etc.).</li>
<li>Knowledge of cryptographic encryption algorithms, key exchange algorithms, hashing algorithms, PKI, etc.</li>
<li>Strong English (both oral and written) skills and strong problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Having Security Certification will be an added plus.</li>
<li>Experience in Agile, JIRA, and Kanban</li>
<li>Experience in Program management</li>

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions around PKI and key management in C/C++/Python</li>
<li>You will design and develop features for Netskope's Cloud using KMIP (clients and servers)</li>
<li>You will utilize your knowledge of Certificate Authority Management to build API gateways for generating certificates, CSRs etc.</li>
<li>Use advanced data structures and algorithms in C, C++, Python</li>
</ul>
Qualifications/Requirements
<ul>
<li>5+ years of hands-on development experience in building PKI security solutions at industrial scale</li>
<li>Experience with Key Management Life Cycle - Key Generation, Storage, Distribution, Backup, Rotation, Revocation, Destruction etc.</li>
<li>Hands on experience and knowledge of TLS, PKI, HSMs, KMIP, and Digital Certificate Management</li>
<li>Experience with FIPS 140-2 compliance requirements and implementation a plus</li>
<li>Track record of championing security best practices</li>
<li>Experience in network and web security technologies (firewalls, web security, IDP / IPS, DNS based security, etc.) is a plus</li>
<li>Programming mastery in C/C++ and Python</li>
<li>Strong communication, organization, written, presentation and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to work unsupervised, exercise leadership, and influence change</li>
<li>BS Computer Science required; MS Computer Science strongly preferred</li>
