Senior Public Relations Manager (Remote in Texas)

The Senior Public Relations Program Manager communicates with the media, key influencers, industry analysts, and vendors to ensure that the company maintains a favorable position. Develops and manages strategic communication programs that incorporate business strategy, product direction, market position, and works with business units and the public relations team to properly distribute that information. Drives cross- company efforts on significant company moves, working to tie together marketing, communications, product marketing, legal, and senior leadership. Supports global roll- out of PR efforts.Preferred location for this role is in San Antonio, TX as our Marketing team reports to our office 2-3 times a week, but candidates from any Texas-based location may be considered to work remotely with travel to San Antonio twice monthly.

Key Responsibilities

• Determines appropriate type of contact for the media, industry analysts, key influencers, and vendors. Influences and improves influencers’ view of the company.
• Develops and manages strategic communication programs that incorporate business strategy, product direction and market position.
• Develops overall program strategy, sets program objectives, while working with the team to meet or exceed all stated goals.
• Collaborates with marketing and public relations departments to ensure the most effective communication programs and strategies.
• Tracks and updates the most current company information and metrics to ensure that the mos
• Regularly provides proactive ideas on how to drive awareness of the company's mission, solutions portfolio and competitive differentiators.
•  Manages PR agency and vendor relationships while ensuring that they meet goals and drive value to the business.
• Provides counsel to executives regarding communications strategies for launches, tours and media interviews.
• Seamlessly manages multiple highly complex programs and initiatives with no supervision.
• Seamlessly manages business driven tasks such as budgeting, contract negotiations, leading vendor RFPs, etc.
• Serves as mentor to junior staff with ability to motivate others. Ability to develop overall program strategy, set program objectives, while meeting or exceeding all goals.

Knowledge

• Invaluable level of knowledge of the company’s business objectives and operations.
• Excellent level of time management, communications, decision-making, human relations, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in AP style.

Education

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business or marketing. High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in public relations is required. Corporate PR experience preferred

Physical Demands

• General office environment. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. May require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor. No special physical demands required.
• Schedule flexibility to include working a weekend day regularly and holidays as required by the business for 24/7 operations.
