The Senior Benefits Specialist – Americas supports the delivery, governance, and ongoing management of Rackspace’s benefits programs across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Colombia. Lead Solution Architect, Analytics &amp; Al/ML

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect specializing in Azure who is experienced at leading application migration assessments, cloud readiness evaluations, and delivering high-quality architectural designs. The successful candidate will have expertise in <b>Azure, networking, security, IAM, Kubernetes (AKS), containers, Azure App Service, DevOps practices, and GitHub Actions.</b> This role requires strong analytical abilities, proactive communication, and outstanding soft skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and teams. <b>Work Location</b>: United States of America - If located near a Rackspace office, you’ll work a hybrid schedule… two days in the office and three days work from home.·   If not located near an office, you may work 100% remotely. <h3>Responsibilities: </h3><ul><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive application migration and cloud readiness assessments. </li><li>Lead high-level and detailed architectural designs covering Azure Well Architected Framework pillars and application modernization requirements. </li><li>Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, clearly translating business and technical requirements into actionable design documents. </li><li>Develop and present Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculations and migration cost analyses to stakeholders. </li><li>Provide expert guidance and leadership throughout cloud migration and modernization projects, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices. </li><li>Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, project managers, and business stakeholders. </li><li>Ensure clear, concise, and proactive communication across all levels of the organization. </li><li>Travel up to 15% domestically</li></ul></ul><h3> Skills and Experience:</h3><ul><ul><li>High School Diploma or regional equivalent required</li><li>Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a field related to the role. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement</li><li>A minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect, specifically in application migrations and modernizations within Azure environments. </li><li>Deep technical knowledge in Azure Cloud services, networking, security frameworks, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Kubernetes (AKS), container technologies, and Azure App Service. </li><li>Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar tool. </li><li>Demonstrable ability to conduct effective cloud assessments and translate business needs into high-quality architectural designs. </li><li>Exceptional soft skills, including clear communication, proactive engagement, and effective teamwork. </li></ul></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications: </h3><ul><ul><li>Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate). </li><li>Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks. </li></ul></ul>Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
