The Senior Manager, Data Engineering, will oversee and lead the Data Engineering team in operating the company wide data platform. They will have a deep experience with large-scale distributed systems from design to deploy. They are an expert in Big Data and data platforms and will possess excellent organizational, leadership, decision making, and communication skills. They must have a passion to lead and deliver.     Manage the team members and projects of the data engineering team and ensure delivery in a timely manner while meeting the requirements set forth by the business. Uses expertise in multiple areas to interpret internal and external business issues and recommend solutions based on best practices. Solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Manage a team of data engineers. Facilitates communication upward and across project team including project status and technical information. Ensures projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented. Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews of data engineers. Implement product features and refine specifications with our Data scientists, Data Analysts and Data Architects. Resolve operational issues by collaborating with upstream support groups and other engineering teams. Moderate levels of stress may occur at times. Senior Manager, Data Engineering - Vietnam

The VMware Solutions Architect is the front-line expert at working with Rackspace’s customers, sales teams, solutions engineers, and product development/management groups.  The candidate that will fit best into a VMware Solutions Architect role will have extensive experience in the design and development of business applications and VMware solutions.  The Solutions Architect will design futuristic solutions with currently available technology and take responsibility for the quality of the solution.  The VMware Solutions Architect will work with Rackspace’s sales teams to understand the customers’ business and technical objectives and then design solutions that leverage existing supported VMware technologies.  Where existing solutions do not exist, the Solutions Architect will work with product management and product engineering to help implement new standards and new processes that allows Rackspace to solve for the customer’s needs.<ul><ul><li>Innately service-oriented and always communicates with respect and professionalism.</li><li>Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.</li><li>Ability to prioritize deals, training, and initiatives through highly effective time management</li><li>Excellent problem solving, analytical, presentation, and whiteboarding skills</li><li>Motivated self-starter who takes ownership of customer needs and works to find a positive outcome that yields high customer service levels.</li><li>A Trusted advisor to the customer that will conduct deep-dive sessions to help customers overcome adoption concerns.</li><li>The ability to interact in an engaging way with individuals and groups while conveying the value of Rackspace services with clarity of the benefits to the customer.   </li></ul></ul>·         Requires 5+ years of solution architecture experience or specialty domain experience with a proven track record.·         Have a strong understanding and experience with VMware SDDC, vSAN, VNX, vSphere, SRM, Tanzu, HCX, vRealize and other VMware technologies.  ·         Experience with Hyperscaler VMware offerings such as VMC, GCVE, or AVS is ideal.·         Strong understanding of architectural frameworks, DevOps concepts for CI/CD, configuration management, orchestration, etc.·         Any of the following industry certifications are a plus: VCP, VCAP, or VCDX for DCV or CMA, RHCSA, RHCE, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA, CKA, CKAD, OpenStack.·         Ability to travel approximately 15-50%.·         Candidates must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Solution Architect - Specialty Domain - VMWare

The OpenStack Solutions Architect is the front-line expert at working with Rackspace’s customers, sales teams, solutions engineers, and product development/management groups.  The candidate that will fit best into a OpenStack Solutions Architect role will have extensive experience in architecture and design and development of business applications utilizing Kubernetes and/or OpenStack infrastructure.<ul><ul><li>Innately service-oriented and always communicates with respect and professionalism</li><li>Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base</li><li>Ability to prioritize deals, training, and initiatives through highly effective time management</li><li>Excellent problem solving, analytical, presentation, and whiteboarding skills</li><li>Motivated self-starter who takes ownership of customer needs and works to find a positive outcome that yields high customer service levels</li><li>A trusted advisor to the customer that will conduct deep-dive sessions to help customers overcome adoption concerns</li><li>The ability to interact in an engaging way with individuals and groups while conveying the value of Rackspace services with clarity of the benefits to the customer.   </li></ul></ul>·         Requires 5+ years of solution architecture experience or specialty domain experience with a proven track record·         Strong knowledge of the core OpenStack or Kubernetes projects·         Experience with sizing and optimizing the hardware required to run the various OpenStack services of Nova, Swift, Cinder, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Ceph, Heat, and other core services and/or experience with Kubernetes architecture and configuration best practices and guidelines·         Familiarity with or a desire to learn components such as Helm, ISTIO, Prometheus, and other Kubernetes services.·         Strong understanding of the DevOps concepts for CI/CD, configuration management, orchestration, etc.·         Familiarity with programming and architectural frameworks; experience with Python and/or OpenShift is ideal·         Any of the following industry certifications are a plus: Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, CCNA, CKA, CKAD, OpenStack·         Ability to travel approximately 25-50%·         Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
