This role has two different dimensions with a focus on either Controls or Shipping &amp; Receiving. Both roles ensure accountability and security of data center inventory.  Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.  Understand and adhere to documented Inventory controls and practices.  Provide service in alignment with Rackspace Core Values to include FANATICAL support.<h3>Key Accountabilities</h3><ul><ul><li>Manage and process internal tickets</li><li>Process equipment returning to secured inventory stockroom</li><li>Execute physical movements of inventory </li><li>Maintain meticulous 5S and housekeeping practices</li><li>Actively participate in cause analysis method to investigate any customer-impacting events</li><li>Act as subject matter expert for process and policy alignment, also review and contribute documentation on the knowledge base</li><li>Participate in regularly schedule inventory-related meetings</li><li>Assist in training of new and existing controllers</li><li>Learn and demonstrate understanding of all safety policies, procedures and requirements, including acquisition of any required certifications</li><li>Assist in the completion of all auditable controls</li><li>Address inquiries from other internal/external departments</li><li>Stock materials following industry handling standards </li><li>Communicate in an honest, transparent manner focused on building trust amongst customers and coworkers</li><li>Demonstrate no less than full performance in a continuous, consistent, measurable manner</li><li>Demonstrate high levels of passion and enthusiasm when providing Fanatical Support to all customers and coworkers</li><b>Control</b><li>Process hard drives containing data through the drive wiping and destruction processes</li><li>Complete reconciliation for the cycle counting process</li><li>Process reinstatements</li><li>Process all return materials, including sub-assembly build </li><li>Pull and assign items to fulfill customer contracts and upgrades</li><li>Replenish inventory using kanban and min/max </li><b>Shipping/Receiving </b><li>Process materials for disposals</li><li>Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and communicate with freight companies</li><li>Process international shipments following industry standards</li><li>Process inbound receipts required for custom products</li><li>Package all shipments in alignment with company standards</li><li>Completion of all shipping and receiving documentation</li><li>Process inter-organization transfers</li><b>KPIs Include (not limited to):</b> <li>All customer interactions, both internal and external, are conducted in a manner that is consistent with fanatical support</li><li>All inventory activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>All activities that create a negative customer impact or near miss are investigated utilizing the root cause analysis method</li><li>Process and policy reviews and sign-offs are completed within the allocated timeframe</li><li>All work areas are routinely cle­­aned and organized</li><li>Key team goals are achieved regularly</li><li>Adheres to operational and safety processes and policies</li></ul></ul><h3>Key Requirements </h3><ul><ul><li>Educated to GCSE level or equivalent; Inventory Control Specialist

The 'Manager, Data Center Engineering' is responsible for leading a team in support of all physical  facilities infrastructure in the Data Center. This role will ensure that all equipment and support systems  are in a high state of readiness at all times. In addition to a high level of developed competencies in building and managing facilities teams you will need detailed technical knowledge (mechanical and electrical) relevant to a data center or industrial, manufacturing or military environment. The Engineering Manager is also responsible for capacity management and contractor’s management and overall responsibility for the H&amp;S of those working in Rackspace premises<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><ul><li>Ensure that facilities problems are identified and repaired quickly  </li><li>Hire and develop the skills of an internal team to scale in support of facilities equipment </li><li>Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), etc </li><li>Work towards continual improvement in operational efficiencies, and occasionally travel to other  regions to facilitate global cooperation </li><li>Develop an effective PPM schedule and ensure the checks are performed according to the  manufacturer specifications and RS internal controls by either the specialist contractor or RS  internal Engineering staff </li><li>Maintain available capacity by ensuring new areas of the DC are built well ahead of schedule </li><li>Adhere to the RS Change management guidelines </li><li>Occasionally support the Facility management team in the HQ by providing resources and  technical expertise </li><li>Maintain the DCs office spaces in excellent working order </li><li>Ensure the security systems are in perfect working order and that the security team is delivering  an efficient service to RS and our customers</li><li>Coach and Mentor the Engineering team members and provide leadership and guidance </li><li>Effectively manage the contractors on site to ensure adherence to RS H&amp;S and code of conduct </li><li>Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed </li><li>100% uptime on cooling and power </li><li>Ensure 24/7/365 cover is maintained on site by managing the team’s holiday and training plans  and ensuring the team scales with the business </li><li>Maintenance contracts are in place and renewed/updated with plenty of time. Service delivery  meetings are to be held regularly to ensure value for money and observance of the agreed SLAs  is obtained </li><li>The PPM schedule is developed for the entire year ahead and contractors/resources are lined up  to perform all the activities in it </li><li>9 months worth of UPS and Cooling capacity is available at any point. New installations are  performed in a timely manner to allow the business to grow </li><li>The HQ offices are supported when required without affecting the operations of the DCs </li><li>The office space and services in the DC buildings are always presentable and in perfect working  order </li><li>The security systems are maintained to World Class standards and the security team is managed  and their service reviewed regularly </li><li>Regular face to face meetings are held with all the Engineering team members to make sure  personal development plans exists and are followed and to provide guidance and advice on  performance and personal development/career advance </li><li>Contractors’ method statements are reviewed and PTW issued in accordance with H&amp;S laws.
