Skylo Technologies is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to join our Network Engineering and Planning team in Palo Alto, CA, to implement Skylo's vision of building out a carrier-grade Satellite IOT network. This role will be highly cross-functional, working across the network engineering, wireless systems, and network operations teams. Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Set the vision, develop the roadmap, implement and operationalize Skylo’s next-generation infrastructure services</li>
<li>Design, size, and scale Skylo’s cloud infrastructure to host Skylo’s radio access network, core network, and associated billing and operational systems</li>
<li>Explore, evaluate, and develop prototype solutions to augment commercial wireless communication protocols to provide secure and resilient communications for Skylo customers</li>
<li>Design and specify KPI monitoring information on the health of Skylo’s Cloud infrastructure</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deploy and configure Skylo’s cloud infrastructure and applications</li>
<li>Perform hands-on security assessments of different parts of Skylo network infrastructure (radio access network, core network, edge networks, etc.),</li>
<li>Manage Skylo’s cloud infrastructure and associated services vendors</li>
<li>Coordinate and execute external security audits and penetration tests.</li>
<li>Implement compliance to certifications like SOC2, NIST, ISO27001 and PCI DSS.</li>
<li>Provide technical domain support to Skylo’s operations teams as required</li>
<li>Provide detailed and quantifiable feedback to product engineering and product management teams to enhance network performance and quality</li>
<li>Hold vendors accountable to SLAs on network performance and service quality</li>

Requirements
<ul>
<li>BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related engineering equivalent experience</li>
<li>Experienced with the challenges of infrastructure engineering and deployments in in-house data centers, public and private clouds</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of data privacy concepts and leading data privacy legislations including GDPR and US Federal and State regulations and acts</li>
<li>Deep experience with Virtualization and Containerization technologies. Excellent experience with VMWare, Kubernetes, Docker, Consul, Terraform and other cloud native tools for containerized management of micro-service deployments</li>
<li>Experience in production monitoring and metrics reporting</li>
<li>Experience securing cloud infrastructure and working with 3rd party auditing organizations</li>
<li>Ability for occasional international travel</li>

You will be responsible for executing security engineering programs and managing security technologies across the board. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who can build innovative ways to deliver frictionless security capabilities to enhance the security posture of the organization.
What you'll be doing:

<li>Leading and managing requirements per FedRAMP and DOD Impact Level specifications/controls and turning them into operational models and implementations for the InfoSec organization</li>
<li>Deploy and operate security solutions and supporting infrastructure in cloud and datacenter environments in support of internal customer security needs and FedRAMP requirements</li>

Experience you'll need:

<li>Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience</li>
<li>6+ years experience in security engineering, building and managing security solutions across the stack (on-prem and cloud) </li>
<li>Strong understanding of logging and data management best practices and strong experience in any logging and/or SIEM platform</li>
<li>Proficiency in any scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, shell, etc.)</li>
<li>Working experience in GCP, AWS or Azure</li>
<li>Experience with with security automation and data management tools (XSOAR, Phantom, Snowflake, etc)</li>
<li>Leadership experience collaborating with internal customers to establish strong requirements, prioritize work based on outcomes that drive risk reduction and operational effectiveness</li>
<li>Prior experience working in environments with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171 controls or FedRAMP requirements</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications:

Rubrik is seeking an Infrastructure Security Engineer.  In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Rubrik's backend data center and cloud services are designed and implemented to the highest possible security standards.  You will partner with a variety of stakeholders across the business to achieve successful security outcomes in customer experience and productivity deliverables.


Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Partner with engineering teams across rubrik to create secure cloud infrastructure and network design and deployment architectures utilizing threat models and risk analysis documentation</li>
<li>Define policies across the organization for secure networking cloud design models within hybrid and public cloud environments</li>
<li>Work with development teams, operations, governance, and other stakeholders to draft security standards and implement monitoring, alerting and governance to adhere to those standards</li>
<li>Support incident responders in analyzing applicable threats, vulnerabilities, controls and residual risks</li>
<li>Analyze and harden existing applications, infrastructure, automation, and deployment processes</li>
<li>Support and operate network security capabilities in both public and hybrid cloud environments</li>

Ideal Background:

<li>Bachelor’s degree required; BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field</li>
<li>6+ years experience in Network security modeling in both Data Center and Public Cloud</li>
<li>4+ years’ experience in cloud security, with experience across AWS, GCP and/or Azure infrastructure design</li>
<li>2+ years experience in VMWare and physical server networking</li>
<li>Broad knowledge of private and public cloud attack vectors and exploits</li>
<li>Subject matter expertise in Public Cloud Networking and Virtual Firewalls</li>
<li>Deep understanding of compute, network and storage technologies in AWS, GCP and/or Azure</li>
<li>Programming experience in Python, Go or Java</li>
<li>Deep security subject matter expertise in at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) </li>
<li>Experience with deploying and securing SaaS applications and cloud networking at scale</li>
<li>Working experience with automation, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, etc) and MicroServices</li>
<li>Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, etc.</li>
<li>Understanding of cloud security maturity model frameworks and how to apply them</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>

Minimum Requirements:

<li>Strong knowledge of web technologies, Linux operating system security, common security flaws in distributed systems, authentication systems, network communication protocols, encryption technologies, and infrastructure security requirements.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of security implementation in containers and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, etc.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with various security tools like Nessus, Burp, Zap, OWASP, and other DAST/SAST tools. </li>
<li>Foundational knowledge of cyber security and compliance </li>
<li>Ability to work with remote teams across multiple time zones - some travel is to be expected.</li>
