We have an immediate need for a long-term contract with one of our large public sector clients in Southern California. Our client is seeking the services of a Security Consultant to assist with the administration, configuration, and support of the VSAP Election Security Infrastructure systems network; which comprises of virtual/physical machines with different Linux operating systems, and network infrastructure used for election support.
<h3>Description of Duties</h3>
<ul>
<li>Support components such as Splunk, APM servers, APM load balancers, MySQL, Kafka servers, Nginx servers, Infoblox server, ClearPass server and custom software performing business logic.</li><li>Document election airgapped of network systems supporting ballot scanners used in scanning marked ballots after every election (TALLY) &amp; Ballot Management /Ballot Marking Device (BMG/BMD) air gapped security network infrastructure implementation plans, operating procedures, processes, and configuration as necessary to support the operational activities related to VSAP.</li><li>Administration, Management, Maintenance, Configuration, support, and deployment of openSCAP, Carbon Black, Snare, ClearPass on multiple flavors of Linux and Windows operating systems in an air-gapped election system environment.</li><li>Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex security infrastructure issues that may arise in the support of TALLY &amp; BMG/BMD air-gapped security network infrastructure, which includes monitoring of the network traffic and blocking potential cyber-attacks.</li><li>Administration, management, maintenance, and deployment of Virtual Machine instances as needed.</li><li>Perform security system tuning administration and maintenance and support of backup/recovery for Business Continuity Process (BCP).</li><li>Design security solutions systems in a Linux-based air-gapped environment to ensure proper and efficient performance using industry information security best practices.</li><li>Represent ITB when attending meetings or providing TALLY &amp; BMG/BMD related expertise to internal and external customers.</li><li>Provide written and verbal communications to internal and external customers, management, and other department managers and technical staff.</li><li>Provide knowledge transfer to the team through training and mentoring.</li></ul>
<h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Certification, preferred.</li><li>Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification, preferred.</li><li>Two (2) years of experience within the last six (6) years of implementing and ongoing administration of networks conforming to NIST 800-171 and/or NIST 800-53 Cybersecurity Frameworks.</li><li>Two (2) years of experience within the last six (6) years of experience in managing and administering various Secure Event Information Management SEIM software platforms.</li><li>Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years installing, configuring, administering ration and troubleshooting of Carbon Black Security Software.</li><li>Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years installing, configuring, administering, and implementing APM servers, APM load balancers, MySQL, Kafka servers, Nginx servers, Infoblox server, and elastic search using industry standards security best practices.</li></ul>

You Would:  
We’re looking for an experienced Staff Software Security Engineer who can help us design and build the next generation of products and features for Datto Saas Protection, to uphold our business continuity promise via Datto’s suite of SaaS application backup products. Typically, projects include working with managing large-scale cloud-to-cloud data flows, leveraging third-party APIs (e.g., Google, Microsoft) and development of new product features and capabilities. Software Engineer with familiarity of vulnerability exploitation methods and mitigation. 
Practically, you would work on a cross-functional agile team including Product Management, Quality and Software Engineers to collectively complete a themed set of business goals every two weeks. Furthermore, you will work with your team and others to architect solutions for ambitious, large-scale security initiatives. You should have experience with Integration Security concepts like Mutual Authentication, Open SSO, SAML, OAUTH, Kerberos, JSON Web Token(JWT). Also, a solid understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and vulnerability scoring frameworks such as CVSS. As well as familiarity with attacks and mitigation methods, with development/scripting experience of security tools

The Offensive Security Engineer identifies weaknesses within our systems, network and applications. You will have proficiency in penetration testing of operating systems and web applications. You’ll also look to perform vulnerability research across a wide range of services which can include source code auditing, web application hacking, reverse engineering and fuzzing.
A Look Inside the Job:
<ul>
<li>Perform penetration tests on dozens of different products built with a wide variety of application stacks.</li>
<li>Discover threats, vulnerabilities and exploits through architecture design review, threat modeling, code review, and penetration assessments.</li>
<li>Offer remediation guidance to stakeholders for identified issues and serve as an escalation resource for engineering as they reduce issues.</li>
<li>Identify unknown attack surface in our products/software</li>
<li>Utilize fuzzing tools/frameworks such as AFL++, libfuzzer and jazzer to find complex bugs within software applications</li>
<li>Create scripts/tools for automated vulnerability discovery</li>
<li>Build process and technology to improve the reporting and prioritization of identified weaknesses.</li>
<li>Perform threat actor simulation as part of Purple team exercises</li>
</ul>
Required Skills:
<ul>
<li>Proficient in different bug classes for web applications that span the OWASP top 10</li>
<li>You have several years of hands-on experience as a hacker, and have exercised your skills against both Linux and Windows environments.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience auditing source code in common object oriented programming languages.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of 1 or more of the following programming languages: Python, PHP, C/C++, C#, Java, Golang (not a programming role, but must be able to read code)</li>
<li>2+ years of experience directly related to offensive/application security work</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated</li>
<li>Strong understanding of operating system concepts such as memory management</li>
<li>Knowledge of core concepts related to Active Directory</li>
</ul>
