<b>About the Role</b>As our Public Policy and Government Relations in Central Java, you will be in charge of engagement with regional government leadership in regional Central Java &amp; Yogyakarta. While your primary function is to develop and forge relationships with governments in the region, you will also coordinate with other teams in Gojek internally to ensure smooth partnerships and collaborations with those governments. Additionally, you will also oversee project planning and implementations, ensuring all processes and endeavors align with the government and company’s requirements. Your efforts will ensure that Gojek maintains its commitment towards the government, driver-partners, SME merchants alike, and crisis handling. <h3>What You Will Do  </h3><ul><ul><li>Establish and maintain relationships with local governments in Central Java and Yogyakarta Region</li><li>Initiate, execute and implement collaborative projects with Pemda in Central Java and Yogyakarta Province</li><li>Provide regulatory analysis and deliver operational impact assessments</li><li>Follow regulatory and political development and communicate with the team</li><li>Regulatory advocacy and compliance as necessary</li><li>Build comprehensive stakeholder mapping in Central Java and the Yogyakarta region</li><li>Collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth partnership and project execution</li></ul></ul><h3> What You Will Need</h3><ul><ul><li>At least 5 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Policy, or Regulatory Affairs areas </li><li>Excellent analytical and communication skills with proven negotiation expertise</li><li>Comfortable in doing policy and stakeholder research and analysis as well as experienced in and eager to develop and lead projects</li><li>Good understanding of the policy-making process and regional political landscape</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment as part of a team</li><li>Good fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia</li></ul></ul><b>About the Team</b>Our Public Policy and Government Relations team consists of over 30 people, focusing in PPGR on different streams, such as Financial Services, Corporate Activity, Information and Communications technology, and others. Our portfolio of products include merchant-facing solutions that aid our subscribed merchant-partners in their sales operations. Southeast Asia is a highly dynamic market, where products have to react promptly to market trends and shifts, and where product managers and business leads need the flexibility to experiment and iterate fast. With that in mind, as the Sales team, we introduce and educate potential customers on how they can benefit by using our products.One of the biggest obstacles our team has had to overcome is figuring out the most effective way to increase our standing in the market with our Point of Sales solutions. After many weeks of research, collaboration, and trial and error, we figured out that the best way to tackle this issue was to pour a bulk of our effort into acquiring more merchant-partners in various industries, leveraging heavily on the Gojek ecosystem as a whole.We're a highly flexible team with a target-driven mindset. We manage our own work hours, so long as we deliver the expected results on time.
