Workday Compensation Product Manager

Job Profile SummaryDesigns and implements custom Workday business solutions for HR. Manages activities related to the integration of the Workday system and related applications into the organization's information systems. Serves as the lead technical resource for the Workday system to include design, changes, configuration, implementation, testing, and documentation. Consults with internal customers and key business stakeholders to confirm requirements, design alternatives, facilitate discussions, and provide final approval. 

Key Responsibilities

    • Designs, leads and delivers HR technology Workday solutions that provide a high value for Rackers.
    • Leads complex global HR systems projects to drive ease of use, scalability, and value for HR. Identifies issues, challenges, or problems and makes recommended process or technology improvements.
    • Defines and manages Tool Release Strategy & Roadmap in Workday.
    • Works collaboratively with IT and to transform, develop and maintain HR tools. Cultivates and manages relationships with key partners (IT, business partners, HR functions, vendors, etc).
    • Serves as a thought leader in the area of HR processes and technical solutions.
    • Functions as internal consultant to HR functions to deliver process improvement, tools, tips, etc. and is the subject matter expert (SME) for assigned HR tools.
    • Maximizes tool usage for HR and Rackers through on-going communications, training, and marketing.
    • Owns and ensures tool-related issue resolution with technical owner (IT, vendor).
    • Bridges the gap between user requests and technical requirements to recommend optimal solutions.
    • Creates best practices in regards to collaboration, delivering high value results, and engagement. Builds global teams that deliver results.
    • Owns and leads training, testing, governance, support services. Provides leadership to lower level jobs. 
    • Ongoing Compensation Strategy Support.
    • Coordinate with collaborators and advisors to assure compensation planning summaries are configured and delivered.
    • Prepare strategic and operational enablement for partners and end users, ensuring they possess the tools to understand how to complete compensation planning.
    • Ensure Enterprise strategy development and planning are embedded in overall compensation program project planning - documenting interdependencies, critical decisions points, and overall impact.
    • Ensure compensation program philosophy is documented, complete and up to date, as well as compensation strategy for the compensation programs to support the compensation philosophy.
    • Act as liaison between Compensation and cross-functional partners to ensure major initiatives or major changes are communicated.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve compensation program & strategy related initiatives and issues.
    • Design channels to drive education and awareness of our compensation programs, strategy and recommended practices.

    • Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
    • Ability to provide FANATICAL support. 

Skills/Education/Experience

    • Demonstrated leadership in successfully delivering on global projects.
    • Demonstrated drive for results. Ability to select technical methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results 
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or Computer Science (CS).
    • Project Management Professional (PMP®) preferred.
    • 6-10 years project management experience with at least 3 years of that dedicated to running technical projects.
    • Must have at least 5 years Workday experience.
    • Must have participated in owning a companywide product software solution.
    • Experience providing technology solutions to global HR organizations.
    • Experience delivering and optimizing Core HR tools 
$96,800 - $142,010 a yearFor applicants working in California, Colorado, Washington or New York City, we are excited to share the base salary ranges for this position exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonus. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. • The anticipated starting pay range of California, Washington state and New York City applicants for this role is $112,900 - $165,550• The anticipated starting pay range of Colorado applicants for this role is $96,800 - $142,010 • These ranges for candidates may be modified in the future.• Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
