Treasury Analyst II (Remote-Texas)

Job Profile SummaryPerforms a variety of financial functions, such as analyzing bank fees, recommend cost saving plans, maintain bank accounts, and liaison between bank and management. Analyzes and prepares foreign exchange transactions. Performs a variety of accounting functions, such as preparing A/R, A/P, and G/L entries and reconciliations.Preferred location for this role is in San Antonio, TX, but candidates from any Texas-based location may be considered to work remotely with travel to San Antonio on an as needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Works under strict ethical and legal standards.
• Keeps strict measures to preserve client confidentiality.
• Requires expert analytical and numerical skills to prepare data for reports.
• In order to present and defend their proposals for the budget plan they must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Cashes management responsibilities includes estimates, calculation of net cash position, analysis of bank activity and assessment of investing/borrowing activity; maintaining lockbox activity and records.
• Posts to and balances general or subsidiary ledgers.
• Must be able to translate researched information into reports, graphs, and spreadsheets for decision makers.
• Develops or evaluates budgets and other systems reports to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, periodic reports, etc.

Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge of economics to forecast and advises Rackspace decision makers of the best possible investment decisions.
• Must have strong skills in interpreting trends and data such as yields, levels of stability, and prices.
• Advanced knowledge of treasury functions, hedging, taxes, short-term investment, bank treasury applications, and cash management.
• Strong finance and accounting skills.
• Expert analytical and interpersonal skills and an ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations and senior management.
• Intermediate skills in accounting functions, such as compiling and sorting documents, calculating and/or verifying amounts, and posting transactions to accounts.
• Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
• Ability to provide FANATICAL support.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or possibly Political Science.
• Preferable one of the following certifications such as Certified Cash Manager (CCM) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
• 2-3 years in Treasury/Cash Management experience
