The Role:
- Work closely with the engineering team to define and maintain ADAS AD Simulation development roadmap and rollout plan
- Create and track development and deployment plans to meet internal and cross functional teams Simulation needs
- Drive the definition and realization of ADAS/AD Simulation software requirements, specifications with cross functional software teams and external partners
- Lead conversations through the complete lifecycle of software features with in-house development team and third-party suppliers
- Manage supplier relationship with engineering, purchasing, supplier quality, logistics teams to ensure seamless communication, and on time delivery of the required dependencies with quality
- Identify and track cross team dependencies and handshake points, monitor status, help resolve issues, report and fill the gaps
- Manage JIRA ticket issue resolution process, triaging, root cause analysis, countermeasure identification, verification, implementation, etc.
- Coordinate and contribute to the Simulation deliverables, including specifications, rapid prototyping, test plans, and deployment especially for large scale validation via Software in the loop and Hardware in the loop systems
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Science, or related field
- 3+ years as a technical project manager or program manager, in automotive or technology development field
- Familiarity with hardware or software development lifecycle, reliability / validation tools and protocols
- Experience in project management; practical familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and ability to apply them where best suited.
- Ability to understand and digest Simulation Systems (Software in the loop as well as Hardware in the loop) and programs, articulate the information or issue in a simple way, and identify executables/deliverables efficiently
- Comfortable and excellent track record of working with engineering teams and otherwise that do not report to you
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheet, MS Project,etc
Advantageous:
- 5+ years of experience working with highly technical teams for OEM, Tier-1, or Autonomous Driving company
- Software Product Launch Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles industries
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the ADAS/AD hardware or software architecture and interfaces
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and applicable (safety) standards for typical ADAS features (e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262, FMVSS, EuroNCAP)
- Experience in planning roadmaps, features and delivering Software Projects
- Experience or Familiarity with the Simulation ecosystem (Tools, Partners, Architecture, CI/CD and so on)
- Experience working on Simulation Systems and using them for feature validation
