We’re proud of our team and the important work we do to build confidence for a more connected world.The Technical Manager is the technical lead on large, complex GRC Technology implementations, delivering high-end services, improving our industry reputation, and assisting with up-leveling consultants, strengthening methodologies, deliverables, and services. This individual will drive the technical relationship with our customers and partners by providing advanced architecture, implementation, and operational support. Should have understanding and experience in several of the following functions: internal audit, compliance, enterprise risk management, operational risk management, technology risk management, third party risk management, cyber security, business resiliency, incident management, SOX (and/or other compliance frameworks), or other business programs/initiatives.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Experience in Risk management, compliance management, and/or enterprise governance as it relates to how GRC technologies can be and are leveraged throughout organizations' internal audit, risk and compliance functions and processes, as well as the associated benefits that can be realized.
- Integrated risk management (IRM) frameworks, especially as it relates to building a program or capabilities across an enterprise using GRC technology.
- Experience in designing, reengineering, optimizing, and documenting operational, technology, and business requirements, processes and workflow related to any of the listed GRC functions above through stakeholder interviews, facilitated workshops, and analysis of client process documentation.
- Experience in creating, drafting, and refining core business foundational elements such as process, risk, and control frameworks related to any/all the listed GRC functions above through stakeholder interviews, knowledge of industry leading practices and frameworks, facilitated workshops, and analysis of client process documentation.
- Deep understanding of access control, specifically role-based access and inheritance of role and record-based permissions:
- Experience identifying sources of data outside of GRC solutions and designing integration approaches to share data between client and third-party systems.
- Knowledge of on premise and cloud-based application architecture, the differences between them, advantages for each, disadvantages for each, and how each one impacts sustainability, performance, and capacity for the GRC solutions.
- Experience with implementing GRC technology such as (but not limited to) Archer, MetricStream, or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of proper technical documentation techniques to capture GRC solution design and configuration to meet client SDLC requirements and satisfy
- Functional lead for a services solution area, including building methodologies, tools, partner relationships, delivery capability, marketing, and sales materials
- Support team growth
- Provide thought leadership, through participation in industry groups, delivering talks, writing technical and industry specific blogs, risk research, industry PR interviews, and/or contributing to security publications
- Track and monitor current trends and regulatory changes within security, risk, and compliance community, particularly related to GRC technology.
- Contribute to internal team building, knowledge transfer, and training activities within the Risk practice.
- Improve methodologies, tooling, reporting and other processes to enhance inter- and intra-team efficiency.
- Assist in the development and roll-out of new Risk Consulting methodologies and tools
- Work to improve outcomes for customers by increasing cross-business offerings and services.
- Work with customers to help them articulate and document their business requirements/use cases and understand how those requirements translate into Risk practice features and functionality.
- Assist with development of Risk Practice engagement plans/roadmaps for customers which will enable them to execute upon strategies
- Rationalize different risk and security solutions against requirements, risk, and constraints
- Provide oversight on engagements (pending number of engagements where assigned as primary consultant)
- Responsible for 2-6 projects simultaneously (including leadership and knowledge of project and client details)
- Able to deliver and lead other consultants in complex projects
- Facilitate workshops and assessments in front of large audiences based on experience and knowledge in specific technologies/practices
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in GRC technology services in business analysis and technical implementation of GRC technology solutions such as ServiceNow, MetricStream, Open Pages, Archer, Navex
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required
- Strong competencies in the ServiceNow IRM platform are preferred
- Advanced understanding risk management and compliance concepts and processes with practical experience in areas such as Risk Management including enterprise, third party, operational, IT), Compliance Management, Policy Management, Business Resilience, Sarbanes-Oxley, Internal Audit
- Exceptional consultative and interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of impeccable trust, confidence, and results
- Demonstrative ability to develop and lead relationship building activities client project executive sponsors which may span various functional areas
- Experience in supervising a team of three to four and ability to focus and work on several projects simultaneously
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Experience in managing and prioritizing the proposal process to create business proposals, contracts, and respond to RFI/RFP’s
- Ability to clearly articulate the benefits of your Optiv subject matter product and service solutions portfolio to various client stakeholders
- Proven experience in a technical capacity in a risk management and/or information security environment.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, account managers and management.
- Confident presentation, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, mainframe), and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.)
- Working knowledge of operating systems, virtual machine environments, mainframe security packages, and relational database management systems.
- Willingness to travel to meet client needs
- Valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required
