This position requires an experienced professional with accomplished background in software development related to embedded operating systems. Our ideal candidate possesses extended knowledge in complex low-level software systems who can excel in both technical leadership as well as project management aspects. The successful candidate can adapt quickly and contribute to an efficient and stable runtime platform within a fast-paced environment.
The Role
- You will be leading software engineering teams building best-in-class cabin experience information and entertainment systems.
- You will hire and lead top engineering talent with a focus on Android application framework to support variant applications requirements, systems performance, stability, and optimization.
- Lead and grow a talented team of Android framework software developers within the infotainment software organization
- Ensure teams deliver high quality production code that is safe, well architected, fast, reliable, and testable
- Work with other engineering managers and technical Leads to set and communicate technical direction and product strategies while anticipating strategic and scaling challenges.
- Work with other engineering managers to ensure reliable and up-to-date documentation
- Work with your team, technical program managers and external stakeholders to plan, prioritize and execute against an engineering roadmap
You Bring
- Experience as a People Manager and/or Technical Manager, guiding the software development team, implementing process, setting, and achieving goals.
- Good understanding of Android SDK and/or NDK
- Good understanding the Android application framework architecture
- Deep understanding one or two Android application framework domains.
- You will have experience in design, coding, debugging Android application framework, automotive infotainment systems as a hands-on leader.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Consistent record of developing products with an eye for simplicity
- Advantageous:
- Experience working with OEM partners
- Experience in automotive development
- Education
- BS or MS in the areas of Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, or related experience
- Bonus:
- Experience in automotive software development, knowledge in Wi-Fi and BT security, Open SSL, TLS
- Education:
- •MS/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering or related field or equivalent experience
