This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in managing complex releases from planning to deployment. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Participate in change control board meetings to define release content and schedule
- Coordinate cross-functional release activities between software development, validation, build and release teams, Tech Pubs, Field Service, Customer Care, PMO, etc.
- Manage software release communication and relationships with suppliers, manufacturing and end-customers
- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews and go/no-go reviews
- Lead and coordinate the cross-functional release deployment activities
- Work with software quality and process engineering teams towards continuous improvement of release processes and metrics
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the areas of software release and/or project management
- Proven track record of managing complex software projects and releases to closure
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work to completion
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Experience with agile and waterfall software development methodologies
- Experience with software development and project management tools (Jira, ClearQuest, DOORS, JAMA, GIT, ClearCase, MS Project, …)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical skills and attention to detail
