Job summaryAmazon is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Vulnerability Management and Remediation (VMR) team. The VMR team is responsible for the discovery, assessment, triage, and remediation of vulnerabilities across Amazon. Our team offers the unique opportunity to work with leading industry security experts and engage across Amazon teams and leadership.As a Senior Technical Program Manager on VMR Discovery team, you will be responsible for engineering partnerships that support the timely and accurate detection of vulnerabilities across the complexity and scale of the Amazon ecosystem. Your teammates are a global team of security engineers, software developers, and technical program managers dedicated to continuously raising the security bar.Key job responsibilities
- Own one or more engineering partner relationships
- Raise the bar for service delivery and engineering projects through the creation of mechanisms and roadmaps, partner resource management, and quality and performance reviews.
- Lead projects coordinating engineering partners, VMR Discovery operations and engineering teams, and other technical teams to build new services and continuously improve existing services.
- Periodic on-call responsibilities
Candidates for this role will be within commuting distance of the Amazon Infosec offices in Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; New York City, NY; or Arlington, VA. The in-office expectation for this position is a minimum of once per quarter, with additional in-office attendance or travel for team activities as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical program management experience
- 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- 3 years experience working with external technical partners or service providers.
- 5 years security experience in system, network, or application security, vulnerability management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in vulnerability management.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Experience in projects involving the design and build of large-scale security services.
