Rackspace Technology is looking for an entry-level, talented and motivated Network Abuse and Legal Administration Specialist. This role provides support to the global legal team reporting into the Vice President & Deputy General Counsel based in the US, and will work closely with team members and other internal clients across all regions (Americas, EMEA & APJ) of Rackspace Technology’s multi-billion dollar technology business. This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to join a collaborative and dynamic legal team, performing legal administration work, with a particular focus on administering Rackspace Technology’s network abuse function. The network abuse function investigates and works with customers to remediate complaints and potential violations of the Rackspace Technology Acceptable Use Policy, to meet applicable laws and industry standards, and to protect customers and our network from impacts of network abuse
This is a hybrid role in San Antonio, TX and will be onsite at our office at I-35/Walzem 2-3 days a week.Key Accountabilities
- Performs or supports a variety of law-related and predominantly administrative activities that do not require a law degree.
- Receiving, assessing and administering network abuse complaints (including the viewing of illegal and/or offensive materials, where required).
- Working with Rackspace Technology security and fraud teams to investigate potential fraud.
- Guiding customers through resolution of network abuse issues, or taking action against prohibited use.
- Acting as a partner to internal clients, providers and industry organizations to enable rapid issue resolution.
- Working with lawyers to prepare and maintain legal documentation, answer legal questions or issues, develop guidance and training, develop and administer standard legal workflows and improve legal process.
Key Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- No experience required - but prior experience in a technology company, customer support industry or legal team is beneficial.
- Strong desire and ability to learn technical IT and legal information, with an attention to detail.
- Familiarity with, or passion for, technology or anti-abuse related issues is beneficial.
- Proactive and effective communicator with clients and colleagues, including excellent listening skills and ability to approach difficult conversations in a professional manner.
- Proven team player and collaborator, with the ability to work with colleagues to deliver exceptional results.
- Ability to simplify, problem solve (including the ability to work with ambiguous situations), multitask and work effectively against deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven environment.
