As a Market Intelligence Analyst, you will become the trusted partner and strategic advisor on market trends, competition, customer requirements and go-to-market strategy for Acronis portfolio. To be  successful at the role you should know the security landscape, major players, IT, and cybersecurity trends. The role will require a mix of big picture thinking and detail orientation to understand and communicate the insights to the decision-makers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Market analysis
  • Gather information from different sources including company data, industry reports, public information and third parties
  • Extend knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and analysis
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility
  • Manage relationships with new and existing s data sources providers
  • Generate reports and maintain regular updates for:
  • Backup, Backup as a Service, DRaaS, FSS
  • eDiscovery
  • Data Security (DLP, encryption, tokenization)
  • Infrastructure Protection (Endpoint protection, e-mail, web, SIEM, threat)
  • Cloud Security, Network Security, Identity/access
  • Archive SW, SDS, HCI, Migration and Orchestration
  • RMM, PSA, ITSM
  • Other SW markets on demand (RDBMS, CRM, ERP), IMAP servers, DNS servers, MX servers
  • HDD, Backup appliances
  • Channel demography by country - Distributors, Resellers, MSP, Hosters, CSP, Telco SP, MSSP
  • End users demography - by size (SMB/Enterprise), by vertical
  • Enterprise Edge analysis
  • Endpoints, managed by SP's analysis

• Competitive intelligence
  • Assess competitors market strategies by analyzing related products, markets, M&A and trendsDevelop the “source of truth” knowledgebase about competitors
  • Execute competitive analysis through secondary research and consulting (e.g., Gartner, IDC, GlobalData, Omdia)

• Operational excellence
  • Ensure quality of the reporting and competitive intelligence
  • Provide regular reports update
  • Define market and competitive intelligence best practices and implement it in Acronis

• Business contribution
  • Identify and monitor current and potential customers segments, markets
  • Recommend markets for future product development and methods to grow business by analyzing technology trends

• Collaboration
  • Provide internal customers with strategic analysis about markets
  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, competitors

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Information Systems, Mathematics
• 5+ years of experience in market research, strategic consulting or equivalent discipline
• Proven experience of conducting research projects, deploying strategic frameworks and analytical techniques for real business
• Experience in presenting data and insights to the executive team
• Experience in managing relationships with data source providers (e.g., Gartner, IDC, GlobalData, Omdia
• Ability to:
  • work with large datasets and sources
  • interpret qualitative research
  • present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • build and maintain long term relationships with data source providers
  • manage multiple projects under deadline pressure
• Strong Excel and data analysis tools experience
• Solid understanding of the cybersecurity industry
• Knowledge of various research methods and analytic tools
• Deep understanding of data source landscape
• Analytical and critical thinking
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Focus on quality/accuracy
• Proactiveness and strong organizational abilities
