Job Description:

Hypori, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Manager of Security & Facility Security Officer (FSO). The FSO will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance and suitability rosters in accordance with government requirements. The FSO plans and directs all aspects of the organization’s federal security requirements including policies, objectives and initiatives involved with government clearances. They will be responsible for supervising and directing security measures necessary for implementing the requirements of our Security Procedure Manual in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) procedures.

In addition, the FSO will work closely with the Director of Federal Contracts on proposals and contracts management related to the Company’s activities with the U.S. Federal government.  Other program management duties may also be assigned based on the FSO’s interest and available bandwidth.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, execute, and monitor the office security policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with our government security requirements.
  • Provide guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately.
  • Reviews all new hire security clearance information for completeness and compliance.
  • Conduct security trainings, briefings, and debriefings.
  • Assure proper marking, safeguarding, and transmission of all controlled and classified materials.
  • Administer DISS, JPAS activity including processing clearances and visit requests.
  • Maintain all records in compliance with our security manual and COMSEC procedures.
  • Primary contact for DSS reviews and correspondence.
  • Maintain a working relationship with all contract security offices to ensure proper paperwork and clearances are maintained.
  • Perform duties related to the role of Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).
  • Have a full understanding and application of guidance for all security functions in accordance with DCID’s, ICD’s, and other applicable security directives.
  • Working knowledge on the following DoD Manuals, DoD Instructions, and other related security manuals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with federal security compliance, governmental agencies with progressive leadership/management responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Facility Security Officer or related experience.
  • Well versed in the NISPOM and Government security requirements.
  • Experience with DISS, JPAS and e-Qip.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management.
  • Applicant must hold an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
