This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Compensation Strategy, and play a critical role in bringing strategic, creative thinking to solving some of the most nebulous problems we face in the compensation space today and designing the next generation of compensation strategy and plan design. This role does not specifically require compensation experience.This role can be fully remote and located anywhere in the United States.
What You'll do
- Shape and implement a compensation strategy that enables Atlassian to attract and retain world-class talent, incentivizes behaviors that drive outsized impact and enduring growth, and doubles down on pay equity and fairness
- Use your analytical, consultative, and communication skills to inform and influence the Founders, C-suite, and Compensation Committee on global compensation design and strategy
- Help design, incubate and launch targeted new compensation programs to enhance our employees’ experience and growth
- Collaborate with partners across the compensation team and the business to identify opportunities for evolution and investment, define solutions to complex and high-impact problems, and ensure alignment between our compensation and business strategies.
- Assess our current technology platforms and tools and new potential vendors against our organizational needs as we design our Compensation tech stack of the future.
- Perform competitive intelligence in researching and staying current with best practices, innovation, and trends in compensation practices among peer companies and in our industry
Your background
- 4+ years in management consulting or corporate / HR strategy with an interest in the People space or 4+ years in a compensation team designing new compensation offerings within a fast-paced, high-growth global company
- Expertise in designing, incubating, and launching new programs and processes
- Expertise in building models and analyses in Excel / Google Sheets (can build and maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Experience in change management and influencing across complex topics
- Passion for approaching complex problems with a balance of data and insights, first principles thinking, and an eye for innovation.
- Track record of successful senior stakeholder engagement and partnership, including exceptional consulting, communication, and presentation skills
- Nice to have: Compensation plan design, including short- and long-term incentive plan design, retention programs, and equitable offer strategies
Compensation:At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $141,000 - $216,200Zone B: $126,900 - $194,600Zone C: $117,000 - $179,500Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience.
