Frontend Software Engineer - Remote

The job is available in all of our EMEA locations - The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, France, Germany, and Poland.The Atlassian Ecosystem is a growing organization ensuring our customers' journey to the Cloud and supporting the development of apps in Atlassian Marketplace. Atlassian Marketplace lifetime revenue recently surpassed $2 billion at the end of 2021 and has been growing ever since. Over 70% of our customers use an app built by one of the 25,000+ developers contributing to the Atlassian Marketplace. With the introduction of Atlassian Economy, we have seen a renewed focus on the Ecosystem and the app development platform, allowing customers confidently extend their Atlassian Cloud products without trading off security or reliability.Where you’ll make an impactAs a member of the Ecosystem Platform Team, you will build, improve and operate the infrastructure, services, and APIs that help third-party developers extend Atlassian products. In particular, you will contribute to building and running Forge, Atlassian’s FaaS-based app development platform.In this role, you will collaborate closely not only with your immediate team but also with engineers across multiple Atlassian products and infrastructure teams, as well as with product managers and third-party vendors. You will report to Engineering Manager.Our Team’s current focus is on expanding the number of products and extension points available on the platform. We do this by creating new product features available to app developers.

Your background

• 3+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)
• Understanding of web applications architecture
• An attitude of taking ownership of the software you write all the way to production
• Experience in building monitoring into your code, tweaking dashboards, defining alerts, and writing runbooks
• Proficient English (both spoken and written)

It would be great if you have

• TypeScript coding experience
• Experience with React and related technologies - Redux, RxJS
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and software development practices (unit testing, pair programming, and continuous integration)
• Know-how about frontend tooling such as Webpack, babel, eslint
• Experience with public cloud offerings (AWS or equivalents in another cloud provider, for example, GCP or Azure)
• Desire to mentor junior developers
