How You'll Make an Impact
- Able to solo deliver or act as "point" for complex projects
- Acts as technical escalation point to assist other consultants.
- Design, implement and educate on Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions
- Provide knowledge transfer and post production support activities as necessary.
- Effective team communicator.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations such as ISSA.
- Obtain and maintain top tier vendor certification.
- Complete administrative project tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reporting
- Acts as contributor in Optiv communities for solutions of focus
Qualifications for Success
- A broad knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS in an Azure environment
- Experience with Defender for Cloud
- An understanding of Azure security best practices and well architected framework
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Security Reference Architecture
- Ability to create and read complex Azure diagrams
- Understanding of Azure subscription management
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience applying technical knowledge and customer insights to create technical and strategic roadmaps.
- Experience developing complex architectures in Azure and using Visio to convey the architecture
- Knowledge of Microsoft native security controls like RBAC, WAF, FrontDoor, Azure Firewall, NSGs
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability concepts
- Understanding of replication services for Azure Site Recovery for on-premises systems
- Knowledge of best practices for SIEM integration and logging
- Solid understanding of DevOps
- Knowledge of general security concepts and methods such as vulnerability assessments, data classification, privacy assessments, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, architectures, and governance.
- Broad knowledge of technology trends, relevance to clients’ businesses and market impacts
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed security assessment reports
- Must be able to work well with customers and self-manage through difficult situations, focus on client satisfaction.
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences including executives
- Ability to create presentation material for both technical and non-technical executives
- Ability to work both independently as well as on teams
- Ability to lead and mentor others; willingness to collaborate and share knowledge with team members.
- Willingness to travel to meet client needs.
- Bachelor's degree and approximately 6-8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4-6 years of related work experience with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related major.
- The successful candidate must hold or be willing to pursue related professional certifications such as the AZ-500, CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA.
