You will be responsible for all elements required to successfully execute verification and validation of the diagnostic systems. You will also author test cases, test plans, and document detailed test results.

The Role:

    • Interface between Diagnostic team, Test team, external stakeholder to identify, generate and implement test cases and validation criteria for system under test.
    • Work with sub-system and component-level test teams to ensure appropriate test coverage exists (e.g., at HiL and SiL levels), and to synergize on test coverage.
    • Work closely with the Test team to perform various levels of integration (HiL/System Integration) testing.
    • Draft, review, and maintain test case, test plan, test result.
    • Ensure complete coverage between implementation, requirements, and test cases. Evaluate gaps in systems processes and implement solutions.
    • Document and track issues as appropriate and participate in triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
    • Troubleshoot systems/sub-systems/component using lab and measurement equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters as well as tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, etc.
    • Identify, develop, and implement methods to automate and streamline testing, report generation
    • Identify, source, commission, and upkeep all tools required to perform testing
    • Report status updates on a regular basis
    • Drive innovative solutions to Diagnostic problems
    • Support testing at the assembly plant, service center.
    • Think fast, prioritize, and make decisions that benefit Lucid as a whole using a first principles approach

Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in vehicle diagnostic testing.
    • Bachelor of Science (Master of Science preferred), in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Computer Science, or other related fields.
    • Solid experience in diagnostic sequences such as ECU reprogramming and how the tester exchanges data with client ECUs
    • Strong knowledge of relevant standards: ISO 14229 (UDS), ISO 15765 (DoCAN), ISO 13400 (DoIP), ISO 22901-1 (ODX)
    • Familiarity with diagnostic standards: SAE J2012, SAE J1979/ISO-15031, SAE J1962.
    • Familiarity with Vector and/or Peak CAN based tools. Experience working with Candela studio, OTX, ODX, Vector or Intrepid tools.
