Test Engineer, ECU

This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of excellence in the field of systems engineering and software quality. The candidate will be an accomplished leader with a strong organizational capability and ability to command respect from the talented teams he or she will help lead and coordinate.  

The Role

• Support the validation of Engineering SW builds on the production line
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting of Factory ECU failures
• Data collection and reporting of program runs and issues, daily/weekly
• Support the ECU Engineering group on all new SW and NPI program builds in the factories
• Be the lead contact for all ECU related issues from the factory back to Engineering
• Drive new SW and SW tools in the factories, run dry runs and validation runs on assigned products

Qualifications

• Experience in an Operations, Mfg Engineering or Mfg Test, specifically Line test SW
• Working knowledge of Mfg test environments; in-house, NI TestStand, with DSA tools a plus
• Experience with volume Automotive testing or complicated, multi board consumer or medical products
• Hands-on experience in test equipment such as power supplies, cabling, scopes, etc.
• Demonstrated success in fast-paced, ever changing environments
• Must be self-motivating, self-driven, as this is a remote position
• Experience with data collection, analysis, testing, and documentation
• Technical College certificate in electronics or AS degree with 5 year experience or a BS degree with 3 or more years
• MINIMUM of 3+ years hands manufacturing line testing required
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
