In this position the individual will be responsible for architecturing Cloud Platform, served on top of variety of Public Cloud Providers. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches the work with vigor and determination. We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Architect who will collaborate with other engineers to design, discover, build, automate, and maintain Cloud services to power Cloud Platform.

The Role:

    • Architect the Design and Implementation of Cloud Platform as a Service that abstracts the underlying Cloud Infrastructure for the application development
    • Architect the Cloud Platform to be fault-tolerant against hardware and software failures and can elastically scalable with the load
    • Hands-on with developing Infrastructure as Code in modular, service oriented and reusable to adapt with multiple Cloud providers, across regions with high consistency
    • Address the High Availability needs of microservices backed by complex big-data processing pipelines
    • Able to handle petabytes of data traffic over the network and provide optimal storage solutions to handle heavy writes and low latency reads. 
    • Build secure and reliable connectivity solutions between cloud and devices using MFA and cyber security protocols
    • Create chaos-engineering automated tools to help break the system
    • Build monitoring systems that can validate and verify the solution at every step and effectively pinpoint the problem
    • Provide Autoscalable infrastructure for various application needs and be able to do the performance test

Qualifications:

    • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering
    • 8+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure Architecture on multiple cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure and others with Hands on coding ability to build a Provider agnostic platform
    • 5+ years of in-depth experience in setting environment to deploy services on Private or Public Cloud Providers
    • 5+ years of experience in using using Terraforms, Pulumi, Ansibles, and other tools to automate IaC that is testable and easy to maintain and manage for diverse environment needs.
    • 5+ years of experience in using Kubernetes or other deployment orchestrator and management mechanisms
    • 5+ years of experience in building secure cloud based solutions
    • 5+ years of experience in building CI/CD processes and pipelines to enable 1-click and self-managed deployments
    • 5+ years of experience in building and supporting big-data stack such as Kafka, Istio, Spark, Airflow, Trino, TSDB/Influx/Dynamo, and API Gateways and Microservices used in IoT space
    • Ability to go above and beyond to support the team when in crisis and also willing to participate on team's on-call rotation to support the production environments
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.·       California (Bay Area) - $177,000 - $253,000 Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
