Sr. Marketing Operations Manager, Audience Effectiveness

Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.Atlassian is looking for a Data Enablement Team Lead to join our Marketing Operations team supporting messaging. The Data Enablement Lead will be responsible for managing the ongoing connection between message execution and measurement, scaling and optimizing experimentation, and handling critical customer communications across multiple channels and platforms.The ideal candidate will utilize a unique blend of skills spanning across data analytics and reporting, data pipelining/ETLs, marketing technology & CDP expertise, marketing operations, audience targeting, experimentation, and driving customer behavior through owned and paid channels.

What you'll do

    • Work cross-functionally with marketing technology, data science, engineering, and marketing teams to research, develop, design and architect solutions to continuously analyze message performance at scale, and identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Utilize a combination of both directional (e.g. pre/post, quasi-experimentation) and causal (e.g. A/B testing, causal inference) experimentation methodologies to ensure there is a holistic view of message performance, regardless of the execution path. 
    • Build performance analysis ETLs, and democratize results to stakeholders through clean dashboards, with a bias towards standardizing on the most critical business metrics (revenue, cloud migrations, MAU, etc).
    • Partner with marketing to build custom reporting views, segmentation and post-analysis as needed to assist with business prioritization.
    • Partner with marketing analytics to streamline their consumption of performance pipeline to build attribution models.
    • Implement audience QA guidelines and best practices, and act as final tiebreaker/resolver for the proper approach.
    • Lead the audience development strategy for all critical & complex customer communications.

Your background

    • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or other related fields
    • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations and or operational analytics
    • 5 years of experience supporting marketing stakeholders
    • 3 years of experience with relational databases and SQL query languages
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) and experimentation methodologies via Python/R a +
    • Track record of developing creative technical & data solutions that solve complex problems
    • Experience managing stakeholders both externally and internally
    • Experience managing projects end-to-end, including task definition, work estimation, and status reporting
    • Self-starter with pro-active ability to anticipate business needs before they arise
    • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate across technical and business teams
    • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
    • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods as needed
CompensationAt Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $125,300 - $192,200Zone B: $112,800 - $173,000Zone C: $104,000 - $159,600Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience.
