Based in the United States and reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, Office of the CEO, the Senior Communications Manager is responsible for executing the communications strategy for our all-employee audience. As a communications leader, you will be responsible for driving communications for Atlassian's senior internal stakeholders, shaping the messaging and narratives that motivate, inspire, and celebrate our Values and culture. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally to hone channel strategies with our internal product team, and engagement strategies with our People Team.
In this role, you will get to:
- Align internal communications priorities with those of Atlassian Founders, executives, and employees
- Create and manage an enterprise-wide editorial calendar with themes and priorities tied directly to Atlassian’s business objectives
- Tell the stories of Atlassian employees and customers
- Create an enterprise channel strategy utilizing Atlassian’s own products and internal preferences
- Advocate for an improved employee digital experience through a partnership with our internal product teams
- Lead and execute strategic communications initiatives
- Serve as a shared expert across the OCEO Communications team
- Serve as an advisor to the broader global communications team
On the first day, we’ll expect you to have:
- A minimum of 10+ years in communications, with a focus in strategic internal communications for companies with 10K+ employees.
- The ability to build and run communications programs independently.
- A mind for measurement and the ability to use data to support programmatic changes in rhythms and approach.
- Experience working with a wide-ranging group of stakeholders, including C-suite executives, functional business leaders, IT leaders, and product teams.
- Experience influencing key decision-makers on communications programs.
- A passion for organization and timely execution of internal communications.
- A desire to show up as a team player with a willingness to both develop strategies and execute work end-to-end.
- Pride in being a flexible thinker, with a strength for working in grey areas and in fast-moving and rapidly changing environments.
- Experience in the technology industry is preferred, and previous experience working for global companies is a plus.
CompensationAt Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $209,000 - $278,700Zone B: $188,100 - $250,800Zone C: $173,500 - $231,300Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience.
