Let Lucid help you use it by driving to create a better, more sustainable future.The RoleThe Data Science and Machine Learning team at Lucid is on the mission to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions to help make safe and sustainable products and services on par with Lucid’s Luxury brand. This opportunity involves creating end-to-end AI solutions from design and development to delivery of data-driven services and products utilizing AI, machine learning and big data on the cloud and edge. You are a motivated person who is passionate about implementing high-tech AI solution in Automotive and EV industry. You have strong technical skills and know-how and willing to learn and grow on how to build one of the most advanced AI and ML software teams in the EV industry.  Here’s a bit more of what you’ll be working on, •  Work on state-of-the-art software and machine learning projects and products.•  Work alongside with data scientists and machine learning domain experts to design advanced high-quality, high-throughput software.•  Provide architecture and technical direction for frontend and backend systems.•  Design and develop software tools for data analytics.•   Work closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to implement production ready systems.•  Own the development and maintenance of critical core software stacks.•  Help design internal code standards, and review code to produce clean, efficient, reusable code that is unit tested, and adheres to internal code standard.• Responsible for integrating, deploying, testing, and verifying various algorithms and models in the cloud and in the computing system on vehicles.Office location at Newark, California, or Beaverton, Oregon.

Qualifications

    • 2+ years programming in Python, C++/C, Java, or Scala.
    • 2+ years of software development experience
    • In depth knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and systems design
    • In depth knowledge of database technology, schema design, and query optimization techniques
    • In depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms

Nice to Haves

    • Relevant experience in EV or Automotive, Transportation and autonomous driving
    • Experience with telematics data analytics and decision modeling is a plus
    • Experience with big data platforms such as Spark, Presto, and Hive
    • Hands-on experience with cloud computing and HPC or other cloud and distributed platforms e.g. Airflow, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLFlow, etc. is a huge plus.
    • Embedded software design experience

Education Requirments

    • MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Statistics.
