ADAS Sensor Engineer for our ADAS/Autonomous Driving team. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of technical excellence in managing sensor hardware development both for in-house and sourced sensors within the AD and ADAS team. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work in a world-class ADAS/Autonomous Driving team
- Be responsible to manage specifications for ADAS sensors such as camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic sensor
- Work with other ADAS groups to support their sensing needs
- Test different sensors to validate their performance
- Characterize the sensing capabilities in various environments through field-testing
- Work with suppliers to develop sensing components through all development phases (sourcing, prototype, DV, PV, SOP)
- Work with other teams to resolve any production or customer issues related to ADAS sensors
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in the areas of Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of work experience in a field related to ADAS
- Experience in areas related to ADAS sensors
- A practical hands-on experience to complement the theoretical knowledge and creativity required to solve Autonomous Driving challenges
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent data analysis and trouble shooting skills
- Proven track record of technical excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in the areas of Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced degree in a field related to automotive sensing
- Experience in Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.)
- Experience with hardware and software of ADAS components
- Experience in automotive supplier interaction, product development, parts release/change management
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
· California (Bay Area) - $104,000 - $130,000Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
