This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in software quality engineering. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Own end-to-end quality of ECU supplier software: from supplier development phase and validation, to component level validation at Lucid, and release to vehicle level
- Work closely with ECU suppliers (ADAS, Chassis, Closures, Interiors, Safety, etc.) and Lucid teams (feature owners, component engineers, integration, OTA)
- Enforce software requirements with suppliers, by evaluating: Milestone reviews, Test PlansTest Results, Performance KPIs, SW Release Notes
- Enforce cyber security requirements are implemented and validated
- Assess supplier practices for data handling, and threat assessments
- Enforce diagnostics requirements are implemented and validated
- Drive root cause investigations of SW issues with supplier and Lucid SW teams
- Take proactive approach to identify and mitigate SW quality risks
- Assess and recommend prospective suppliers via ASPICE acquisition framework, for sourcing activities
- Lead special projects to drive improvements in supplier software
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience working with software development teams (internal, and external)
- Experience in supplier software quality audits
- Experience in with Software Maturity models such as CMMI, ASPICE, ISO
- Experience with agile and waterfall SW development methodologies
- Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, UDS and related tools to measure and command signals, through scripting or otherwise
- Strong written, verbal communication, and facilitation skills
- Strong self-starter, with ability to work independently
