Senior QA Engineer

In 2016 DAZN launched its direct-to-consumer app bringing more live sport directly to customers than ever before through a simple, intuitive, easy to use app and a low monthly price. By 2019 DAZN were playing more hours of live sports than any other company anywhere in the world.Now it’s time to push new boundaries. Your teamWe are looking for Senior QA Engineers to form part of the Customer and Partner Experience (CAPE) QA Team. A multiple discipline agile QA team that is uniquely positioned as a cross-domain team that is dedicated to supporting the resourcing gaps that currently exist in DAZN, acting as the bridge between internal teams and external customers/partners.This role can be based in Katowice or you can work remotely from anywhere in Poland.This role requires working on-calls.

As our new Senior QA Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Triage bugs, investigate and validate each issue gathering the right information for development teams.
• Escalate the bugs to relevant development team in a timely manner.
• Communicate back to the team relevant feedback from the Development / Product teams and when issues will be and are fixed.
• Build and maintain dashboards displaying bugs and other quality related data, prepare reports.
• Be available for LIVE event support.
• Mentor junior members of the team to promote high quality standards across teams.
• Liaise with the product managers and developers at concept stage to determine testing strategy and coverage.

• Determine if the software will perform according to the user request and conform to guidelines.
• Create test cases and data (manual and automated).
• Assess the impact and risks of new functionality introduced into the system.    
• Recommend improvements or corrections to developers or system analysts.
• Document high level user guides and train others in new functionality areas or software tools.
• Monitor multiple projects / software changes from concept to release and confirm correct behaviour after release to live.
• Contribute to improving the QA process and quality standards.
• Evaluate testing tools and software that can be implemented to aid QA and maximize testing coverage.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

• Understanding of Web and mobile apps testing experience.
• Understanding of cross browser/OS test experience.
• Integration / End to end test experience.
• Ability to coordinate with third party vendors.
• Good Attitude towards learning new technologies and good team player.

Even better if you have:

• Computer Science Degree or similar.
• Previous experience in a similar role, working with, Web, Mobile, TV platforms, set-top boxes and/or games consoles in an agile environment.
• Experience with bug database systems and test-tracking software such as JIRA and Test Rail.
• Practical knowledge of Charles, Postman, and/or other supporting QA Tools.
