We work across the company to help teams build accessibility expertise, understand user needs and create great experiences that are inclusive and easier for everyone to use.We are hiring a Senior Program Manager, reporting to the Head of Accessibility, to build our Accessibility compliance program and help deliver Accessibility at-scale. If you are a program manager with experience monitoring and reporting Accessibility compliance in a large technology-driven organization, this may be a great fit.
What you'll do
- Develop our approach to measuring and tracking compliance with legal requirements and industry standards (e.g., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines)
- Establish the accessibility compliance program - including the corporate policy, scorecard, quarterly reporting, and external attestation (VPATs, ACRs)
- Deliver quarterly governance reports and briefings related to Atlassian products, services and events
- Partner with teams in Trust, product, compliance and risk management to prioritize investments
- Contribute your experience and ideas to help improve our Accessibility program and strategy
Your background
- 5+ years of professional experience working with product, engineering, design and related functions.
- 3+ years of experience managing Accessibility or compliance programs
- Experience working on Accessibility at scale (5000+ employees)
- Expert level understanding of Accessibility laws, regulations and standards for global markets
- Experience using Accessibility tooling and automation to measure product compliance
- Experience defining Accessibility metrics and tracking progress against objectives and key results (OKRs)
- Experience setting appropriate expectations and delivering results on-time
- You embrace diversity and are receptive to new ideas and people who are different
Great but not required
- Understanding of assistive technologies and the way people use them
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle for Accessibility and what is required to deliver high quality, Accessible products and experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Professional certifications, such as IAAP's CPACC, WAS, or CPWA
