Develop network automation tools that are needed for the network integration to Atlassian’s internal tools. Lead remote access VPN solutions and improve Zerotrust network solutions through strict identity verification for every user and device trying to access resources on a private network, regardless of whether they are sitting within or outside of the network perimeter. Set the design standards for the network and security future roadmap and lead efforts to find the ways to migrate the Atlassian office network into a cloud first and software defined virtual network. Act as subject matter expert for office builds including the initial design and architecture stage of any major Network Engineering initiative by employing advanced knowledge of the Network Engineering and Design for Atlassian’s offices, data centers and cloud, paired with understanding of Atlassian’s internal traffic patterns and traffic growth. Design customization on network security infrastructure and other Atlassian internal network solutions. Responsible for taking business and technical requirements and turning them into secure, easy to consume corporate network designs and architecture solutions for the business. Find improvement opportunities and design, develop and refine policies and procures to build a robust network infrastructure that scales and operates efficiently. Design and migrate the on-prem solution to AWS which covers multiple network platform(s) including office Wi‐Fi, remote access (VPN), Wired (switched LAN), and office wide area network mesh. Work with the team to develop network standards and documentation in a rapidly growing network environment. Update and maintain the internal code repository for the firewall and VPN policy changes and ensure that any changes go through the version control and approval chain before getting pushed to the network systems. Support the day‐to‐day operations of the Atlassian enterprise network from Business as Usual (BAU), fault finding and fixing issues to documentation, monitoring, training/mentoring others and managing incidents utilizing technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, AWS, Microsoft AD, Python, Ansible, Cloud formation, Routing, Switching, wireless network design, Transit gateways, Internet gateways, virtual firewalls, virtual VPN gateways, virtual wireless controllers. Act as one of the final levels of technical escalation for any critical network outages/issues. Perform critical network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations. Perform office network disaster recovery (DR) tests and documents the results and learning from the tests. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering and five (5) years of progressive network operations expertise as a Network Engineer in automation, monitoring, and incident response, working with converged corporate and campus networks, with a deep understanding of routing/switching, WLAN, WAN, security and Cloud networks; network protocols and concepts such as OSPF, BGP, STP, IPSEC, VSS, 802.11(b/g/n; Cisco ISE; Juniper infrastructure (SRX Firewalls and Junos Space) and automation and tooling Python/Ansible/Bash/Git including five (5) years of progressive experience designing and supporting Zero Trust security models and related infrastructure and supporting and troubleshooting remote access solutions (VPN infrastructure) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass technical interview.
