Senior Engineering Manager, Identity

Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.Identity is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple teams in the Authorization space spread across multiple geo locations in the pacific timezone. You'll be part of our growing Identity team, continuing our mission in designing, building, and operating micro-services and capabilities that handle billions of API requests daily to authenticate and authorize millions of users and applications.You'll run the growing Authorization team, empowering your teams to achieve their goals, and putting those goals into a broader context.Working with your squad, you will evolve the multi year Authorization strategy based on the department and company strategies. You'll work with your teams on establishing a long running execution plan for the org, taking ownership of important department-level and company-level KRs, and regularly communicating the status, roadmap and risks to important partners including top level leadership.This is a remote position. To help our teams work together, you will be located in the PST Timezone.

What you'll do

• Manage a team help develop features that enabled Identity to grow and support our largest enterprise customers. We make it possible to onboard largest enterprise customers to Atlassian cloud products.
• Collaborate with architects, product management, TPMs and other teams to allow Atlassian roadmap of onboarding largest Enterprise customers to Identity
• Lead your team to develop new features and integrations to Identity Authorization
• Work with a team of engineers, contributing to the team culture through your passion, creativity, and experience. Craft engineering delivery plans, define our measures of success to create an impact
• Nurture a motivated team enabling them meet their goals
• Succeed together with other experienced people

Your background

• Experience working in cloud enterprise software
• 8+ years of software development management experience, managing team of 15 plus engineers
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, scrum).
• Demonstrated experience mentoring, growing teams towards talent retention
• Contribute to the technical and business strategy of the team
• Experience in modern, object-oriented, distributed-systems, programming languages such as Java.
• Programming experience in Java or similar languages, and foundation in data structures, algorithms and distributed system
• Experience building services on cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure or similar.

CompensationAt Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $187,500 - $287,500Zone B: $168,700 - $258,800Zone C: $155,600 - $238,700Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience.
