Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.Based in Australia and reporting to the Director of Communications, Office of the CEO, the Senior Communications Manager is responsible for implementing and executing executive-level internal and external communications. Atlassian is seeking a communications leader to create and cultivate our story in an authentic and accurate manner for both internal and external Atlassian stakeholders. As a communications leader, you will be responsible for driving communications for Atlassian's executive team, shaping the messaging and narratives that we share internally and externally. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally to drive communications efforts with our brand and external PR teams.
In this role, you will get to:
- Lead and execute strategic communications initiatives
- Partner with experts across the business in HR, legal, operations and more to develop integrated strategies
- Lead and implement internal and change-management communications
- Lead and implement a broad set of external communications for executives, including; media, social, presentations, events and crisis communications
- Work closely in partnership with the entire global comms team, Chief of Staff, operations and executive assistants
- Have an incredibly varied communications role, with no two days feeling the same.
On the first day, we’ll expect you to have:
- Have a minimum of 8+ years in communications, with 2-3 years of experience working day-to-day with C-suite executives on communications programs for orgs of at least 2K - 3K employees
- Strong Internal communications and external communications experience
- A passion for executive communications, particularly internal
- A team player with a willingness to both develop strategies and execute work end-to-end
- A flexible thinker, with a strength for working in grey areas and in highly autonomous settings
- Experience in the technology Industry preferred.
- Ability to build and run communications programs, independently.
- Experience in influencing key decision makers on communications programs.
