This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of technical excellence in sensor technologies, sensor integration, and design.
You Will:
- Work in a world-class Autonomous Driving and ADAS team
- Evaluate capabilities of state-of-the-art image sensor prototypes.
- Work closely with design and body engineering teams to integrate and package sensor components
- Develop the sourcing documents, camera specification
- Ensure the conformity to the required operational conditions (temperature, EM, power, vibration)
- Define the signals needed to be exchanged between sensors and other systems in the vehicle
- Be responsible for vehicle level verification, validation, and tuning of sensor hardware
- Support in the product development of Autonomous Driving and ADAS features such as Highway Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection
- Assist in the development of sensor calibration and production manufacturing processes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define requirements and test cases
- Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems using diagnostic tools
- Work in a dynamic environment which evolves at a high pace
You Bring:
- Technical expertise in working with automotive image sensors
- Experience with automotive HW packaging and related analysis methods
- Knowledge of sensor calibration and validation methods
- Experience of performing optical study to determine operational capability of different image sensor and lens combination.
- Knowledge of camera related SerDes architecture.
- Excellent communication skills
- Suppliers and project managing skills
Advantageous:
- Proficiency with 3D CAD (e.g. CATIA v6, SolidWorks)
- Knowledge of ANSYS SPEOS optical simulation tools.
- Knowledge of automotive communication architectures such as CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet
- Experience with Vector tools such as CANape and CANalyzer
- Experience with Unified Diagnostics Services.
- Experience defining ADAS system requirements and test cases
- Knowledge of C/C++/Python to write small programs to evaluate sensor capabilities
- Familiarity with automotive regulations and functional safety standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
Education Requirements:
- BS minimum in the areas of Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields
- 3+ years of work experience in a field related to application engineering, vehicle integration, automotive sensors
- Advanced degrees/ Ph.D. preferred for senior positions
