The opportunity:
- We are looking for the right candidate to bring their own experience and insight. You will have the opportunity to broaden your expertise and profile by working with a wide range of clients across the financial services industry, including banking, wealth and insurance.
- You will be involved with a broad range of opportunities to support our clients with the review of conduct and compliance frameworks, provide input into operational risk management activities, remediation projects and responding to requirements of key regulatory bodies.
Day to day you will:
- Support engagement teams to deliver client projects, advising clients on a variety of conduct, compliance, regulatory and governance challenges, including processes and controls, and the embedding of risk and compliance culture throughout the organisation, from the board through to the business.
- You will support and educate clients on the impact of evolving regulation on their business models, customers, propositions, and markets and support them on their journey through that change. You will have the opportunity to work with KPMG’s broader teams and subject matter experts.
- Provide best practice approaches to risk and compliance management and mitigation, understanding of principles-based conduct or customer-centric regulation.
- You will be thinking about, and working on a variety of client challenges, together with your colleagues who enjoy and love what they do.
What you’ll bring to our team:
- Previous experience in Compliance or in an area that supports Conduct, which could span from customer-facing to product teams, governance, regulation or dealing directly with conduct issues or responding to requirements of key regulators.
- Knowledge in either retail banking, insurance, financial advice/wealth is preferred.
- Ability to identify key compliance and conduct issues and translate broad principles and regulations into clear actions and outputs for a business.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of developing market challenges and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with senior leaders and build enduring relationships.
- Positive and flexible attitude and an enthusiasm to embrace new challenges and growth opportunities to gain experience. A desire for continuous learning and growth opportunities.
