Who we are seeking:An accomplished cybersecurity professional with a background in Data Protection who has demonstrated success in securing initial business as well as growing new business opportunities. The Demand Manager acts as a Solution Architect/Sales Engineer and combines technical knowledge with sales skills and applies practical information security experience to address the strategic needs of the client, supporting sales executives and acting as the subject matter expert in Data Protection across multiple competencies.
How you'll make an impact:
- Maintain expert knowledge of Optiv security service offerings, and clearly articulate detailed benefits of the Optiv product and service solution portfolio to various client stakeholders
- Develop the ability to scope services for Optiv Technology Solutions offerings in the Data Protection space, specifically around capabilities of DLP, Cryptography (e.g. PKI and Encryption), Directory Services and/or Data Access Governance
- Provide guidance regarding strategic program initiatives for clients
- Meet quarterly and annual quota objectives working in partnership with the Sales organization
- Utilize sales processes to develop account plans in partnership with the Sales organization
- Add value throughout the sales process in the areas of requirements analysis and technical qualification, solution development, coordination of demonstrations and management of prospect evaluations, and opportunity transition to the Professional Services organization
- Manage and prioritize sales opportunities
- Manage and prioritize the proposal process to create SOWs and respond to RFI/RFPs
- Maintain technical advisor relationship with key stakeholders at major clients by providing thought leadership, support, information, and guidance
- Obtain top tier vendor and industry-related certifications
Qualifications for success:
- Bachelor's or higher degree or its equivalent in certifications or work experience, with a preference in STEM, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related disciplines
- Minimum of five years in a pre or post-sales capacity within the Data Protection space
- Subject matter expertise in at least one Data Protection technology vertical (e.g., Data Loss Prevention, CASB, Cryptography, Directory Services, or Data Access Governance)
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the following areas: PCI; GLBA; SOX;, CCPA, GDPR, and NYDFS
- Proven track record of managing technical and high value IT security projects
- Thorough understanding of the current threat landscape
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with vendors, prospects, clients, Account Managers, and management
- Ability to communicate with senior business executives and facilitate high-level business risk discussions
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter that does not require day-to-day management
- Valid US driver’s license
- Ability to travel as required
